Lol I can try to popularise it among my friends but it won't work. They either like rugby or don't give a toss about any football played outside of England.

We get plenty of sports channels over here though, there's a satellite thing like DirecTV called Sky TV and has a bazillion Sky Sports channels, and then there's all the independent sports channels... Bundesliga can be found nowhere.
Serie A gets less coverage than La Liga though, believe it or not. La Liga is on at prime times sometimes too. We seem to love the spanish league here.
Bayern got a mention the other night on a sports program actually haha. They were talking about the Man United match on saturday and said something about how Fergie wouldn't care if it was "Barca or Bayern." I was shocked to say the least.

Not completely true, but its been known. There's always intense rivalry between the 2 countries.

Englishmen are more orthodox than germans.
Take the WC as an example.
The germans hospitality was very nice towards every fan.
Not respecting this gesture the englishmen sung antinazi songs etc.

Isn't there an intense rivalry between England and Wales if I'm not mistaken?

I don't think I'd have much luck converting my pals to soccer, let alone the Bundesliga. Although one of my friends is a rabid soccer/any other sport fanatic, like me. :)

I don't agree at all. Something similar came up in England. The FA wanted each team to have a specified amount of home-grown players, and limit the amount of foreign talent. Wenger (I think) was totally opposed to the idea.

I know it would be next to impossible to convert any of my friends or even strangers to Bayern, let alone soccer/football. Americans do not understand the sport and many simply don't want to know about it. A lot of Americans have the view that it's a sport for kids and that's it. Also, I've heard some say that they don't think it's violent enough, it's not aggressive like football (our football).

Honestly, most of the people I know or have met think I'm weird because I love soccer/football. I tell them they're weird because they prefer sports where the athletes need to take a time out every 10 minutes or so. Soccer players go 45 minutes before a break therefore these athletes are strong while the other athletes are weak. LOL!! I just say that to make them mad.

I disagree. This does not suit the Bundesliga... this suits the national team, because more German players will be getting top flight experience. It's stupid how limiting a club to having so many foreigners is going to help them. If they DO believe that's better, that's what they'll do... nobody is going to stop a Bundesliga club who plays everyone German...

Wenger?! The one who says he never buys English players because they are overpriced? :) Arsenal hardly have any English talent.

Mind you, I think basketball is more energy consuming though... it's always accelerate & decelerate (plus movements with the hands). In football you can run into open spaces, or slow down because the action is far from where you are.

Football is a very technical sport and there is infinite things to learn.Sadly there is no scope of it in USA.Until people familiarize themselves with this sport they dont like it,Few years back I appreciated cricket(you may not know about it,but it is hugely popular here) rather than football.

But when i played football and watched it on the tv i began to appreciate it.

IF someone is searching the answer for the poor perfomance of bundesliga clubs then the answer is lack of investment
The Russian energy giant Gazprom would spend €125 million to sponsor a schalke in a five-year deal designed to raise its profile in Europe. What a brainless decision. He should have struck a deal with hamburg.
Schalke has no ambition of doing anything.Their financial manager said that a nurse in theri region won a jackpot but chose to continue her profession and they would follow her example. They would not make big signings and possible sign a player on a free transfer.
While hamburg has big ambition.Look at hte quality of the players they signed despite a tight budget.
Bayern's like that only.Magath happy content with the squad.I m waiting for him to be sacked
This is the reason why no one looks over bundesliga.Lack of ambitions
