A look back at the life of Frank Thornton

The actor Frank Thornton who played Captain Peacock in Are You Being Served, has died at the age of 92.

After working on stage and in films during the 1950s, he became a familiar face on British television appearing alongside Tony Hancock, Benny Hill and Spike Milligan.

Latterly he played Truly Truelove, in Last Of The Summer Wine. But he'll be best remembered as the pompous Captain Peacock as David Sillito reports.
