I feel as though a lot of people live in this hostel and if I was a traveller alone it's not really the place I'd want to be.
It's clean and great spaced rooms, well set out with the separate room with the bathroom. I was on a tour so all our group where in our rooms so we didn't need to worry about anyone else. There are cages under the bed to lock your stuff up if needed which is really handy, the price I think it's quite good. The kitchen and sitting area are huge, maybe needs more fridge space though.. They were chocker block full all of them. For me unless I was with another tour or a big group I wouldn't stay here again, only because I like to be in the centre of everything.
There are heaps of junkies about Dublin and I think near this hostel is a place that gives care packages out so a few in the area, not sure they would do anything as I walked to and from the hostel at night a few times and nothing happened, it was intimidating and a little off putting though. All in all with a few friends I'd recommend it. You can byo also, an added bonus... Staff were really good!

This hostel was perfect for my first 3 nights in Ireland. It was easy to get there from the airport and was a great "home base" for touring the city as it was close to Jameson, Dublin Castle, and Christ Church Cathedral! My only two complaints were that two small bathrooms for 24 girls beds is not adequate and I wish someone would have told me that the hostel is located right next to a drug rehab facility. I didn't feel unsafe in the hostel, but as a solo traveler walking back to the hostel late at night on my first night and seeing some men shooting up was a little shocking!

I think that for what we actually paid for our hostel room, I found that it was well worth it!

The hostel was centrally located, about 10 min walk (20 min drunken stagger) from the Temple Bar area and being on the south side of the river meant no walking over bridges and losing people. the rooms were of a decent standard. The bath room was adequate, not the most fantastic ensuite bathroom, but clean enough not for me to freak out and run screaming!! The room was alright, we were in a 10 bed dorm, but seeing as there was 6 of us we dominated the room, though they do have rooms with lots of different numbers of beds.

I think the only problem was that we booked our room rate off a website and when we actually came to pay, they said it was a higher rate, because of the rugby. After a bit of discussion (basically we threatened to leave and not pay at all) they relented and offered us the room at the advertised rate. Apart from that they ordered our taxi back to airport without hassle and the rock/trash music in the foyer made for a different touch which we all enjoyed.

So for a short weekend away in Dublin, I would recommend this Hostel.

This is a hostel in the city center, where you can stay for a good price. The rooms are very clean and tidy. Easy breakfast included. They also have gluten free bread.
There is very friendly atmosphere. You get to know many people from different countries.

I definitely recommend!

This is a rad place to stay if you're looking for a clean, friendly hostel to sleep in.

Pros:
- Really friendly staff that are willing to help out travelers for recommendations for a place to eat, get drinks, find an atm, etc.
- They printed out our boarding passes for our next flight.
- Reserved a shuttle to the airport
- Wifi is really fast on the ground level. I got 1-2 bars on the third floor.
- Fresh sheets, pillowcases, towels.
-Really close to all the main attractions including Guiness Storehouse, Jameson Factory, Temple Bar area, Dublin Castle, etc.
- Remembered our names

Cons:
I was throughly impressed with this place. No complaints.

Tips:
- Towels cost €2 with a €5 deposit. You get the fiver back when you check out and return the towel.

there was a lovely helpful young lady at the front desk other than that there was some jackasses trying to be a folk stars playing a extremely annoying guitar This guy was absolutely no help, as well he had zero manners. They have absolutely no idea how to treat a customer. There were people staying in the room I was in for over 3 years. This is the worst hostel in dublin right next a homeless and heroin rehab center very dangerous place to be.

Guy at desk got really angry when I asked if he had eftpos for the towels (that need 5 Europe deposit..)
There was no room in the fridges both nights, no safe area for my passport, doors state free international call but when I asked he said no longer do that... we were assigned beds 1&2 but when we entered room there were 2 drunk people laid all over both our beds and their gear on the 2 others. Only place to get water was broken. Indian guy at reception can’t understand English. List goes on...

As a group of girls travelling to Dublin to enjoy the night life, this place is not recommended.
Cheap and clean enough but that was the only positive. We were not able to check in until 3pm which we were not made aware of. The hostel is advertised as a place to party which is not the case. The place has a dirty feel about it.
Was not made aware that the location is very dangerous. The hostel is based right next door to the biggest methadone collection point in Dublin and is surrounded by drug addicts (I feel the hostel should be more clear about that).
We were stopped and escorted by the police on our walk back one night and told to put our phones away and to be vigilant as drug users and ‘ladies of the night’ enjoy gathering around the area. Not at all suitable for a group of young girls.
The staff also took umbrage to us having a friend who was from Dublin join us one evening for drinks. We were told they were not even allowed to stay 10 mins and must leave immediately. This was despite the fact we’d paid for 10 people to stay and there were only 8 of us.

While I was solo travelling I stayed in 4 different hostels in Dublin and this was hands down my favorite. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious, wifi reached up to the rooms and it was strong, and there is free breakfast every morning. They also offer free luggage storage for the day you check in/out which was super helpful for me if I wanted to explore the city before my room was ready or before I needed to head to the airport. Felt very safe and comfy here!

First, the staff was generally incredibly rude. The bed was unstable, the kitchen wasn't clean, the WiFi doesn't work past the 2nd floor (there are 4) and we were all (20+ of us) unimpressed. The good? Nightly fights outside for your entertainment. I didn't see many other hostels in the area and it was really busy so perhaps it's the best in the area. If that's the case, splurge on a hotel or cut Dublin short to avoid this hell hole.
