Notes

This special edition of the album is limited to only 3000 copies.

Title transliterated: Foros Timis Ston Greco
Title translated: A Tribute to El Greco
Each track is referred to as "Meros" ("Movement").

This was sold exclusively at the National Art Gallery and Alexandros Soutzos Museum in Athens, Greece, which was raising funds to buy El Greco's painting "St. Peter" (circa 1590-1600).

The image on the album is a section of "Madonna and Child with St. Martina and St. Agnes" (circa 1597-1599) by El Greco.

The Digipak CD and a 127-page book written in Greek and English language, which features artwork by El Greco, were issued in large blue hard-covered velvet-textured box, with two overlapping panels on top.

The CD is hand-numbered upon 3000 copies and the CD itself is signed by Vangelis in the Greek version of his name, It appears that some of the 3000 copies were signed by the use of a stamp, and another part was directly signed in person by Vangelis. Some of the signatures are quiet the same between some copies, but different and unique for other ones. All hand-numbered and signed with gold pen.

Initial cost was 30,000 drachmas (the Greek currency prior to Euro) or US $127.

I confirm that my copy contains an original Vangelis signature and not a stamp. It appears, as listed on elsew.com tha a large part of the CDs were signed by the use of a stamp but not all the boxes. Indeed, my CD is clearly signed in person, with an observation, analysis and comparison with the number 2070 listed here and other I could have seen, show the irregularities of the use of a pen, with a broad tip for me, really different than the 2070 that less show the details of the letters and even "waves" or steps marked in gold created by the gesture of the signature and the pressure of the use of a marker pen (like when the pen grips a surface and marks the lines of the letters by more visible ink, and creating a dark center with gold edges link to the pressure). In adidition to that thing, the orientation and the position of the signature, the drawing and shape of the letters and the curves of some of them (for example the final 's'), the final point, the initial letter of his last name are not the same than the one in picture here. To illustrate, I placed a photo of the signature on my copy for you to compare.
Finally, even the hand-numbered is not marked the same way as the 2070 and some other I could have seen.

Mine is Vangelis' signature is light in part and dark in the rest. However, the font on the light part is exactly the same as the one on the picture above, but the font on the dark part is different.

Presumably, the ink ran out while stamping it, so only a part of it was faintly stamped, and the rest of it was handwritten by the staff.

Another interesting fact is that the serial number of the CD and the serial number of the insert are different.

Some themes are very similar to Mythodea concerto from 2001.

Mind that the signature is not really an original written signature but its placed on the disc by the use of a stamp!
According to the posted pictures there is an original signature on the back of this box, but that is also not the case in all of them!!! Don't let that be fool you, there is not one original Vangelis Signature in or on this boxset whatsoever.
