How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Actually, Nicholls and Townsend were good friends and The Who + Townsend have recorded songs written by Billy Nicholls. Townsend covered the track "Forever's No Time At All" for example, but check out the Nicholls original. It soars. It's truly a masterpiece and while I haven't heard the Townsend version I doubt seriously he could have improved it. Oddly, I've only ever seen it available on this compilation. If someone else has seen this on another Nicholls album feel free to leave a comment as to which album it's on, as I never found one (and I looked!).
Incidentally, I also have "Would You Believe", the 2-disc edition with rarities and outtakes on a very full 2nd disc that rivals the original recording on disc 1. The 2-disc edition is THE edition to get if you're investing in Would You Believe which is also an essential purchase. It's truly brilliant, and the bonus disc is almost a complete album unto itself of prime '67, '68 Billy Nicholls doing acoustic takes of some of the songs - every track on the bonus disc is excellent and it includes many tracks that don't even appear on the original album, but are all from the same time period. We're talking 22 tracks on the bonus disc alone. Would You Believe Billy Nicholls
But, Forever's No Time At All was what got me interested in Would You Believe in the first place. True, many of the best songs on the original recording of 1968's "Would You Believe" are here on Forever and they build nicely on disc 1 of this anthology, also meandering through 1974's Love Songs. The crowning touch on disc 1 is of course the title track as the last song.
Disc 2 showcases some tunes from '78s White Horse and on through to more recent stuff. In any case the CD set includes 43 tracks to give you a pretty good idea of what the artist has done and is doing. A very good place to start your Nicholls collection, and if this set moves you, do try to aquire the 2-disc version of Would You Believe. Both are jewels in my collection. Neither are available on the Nicholls website. "Forever" is sold out, and "Would You Believe" is single disc only. Forever is an incredible album, a great place to start with Billy Nicholls, and as far as I know is the only album in his discography that contains the song "Forever's No Time At All".

Being a casual Fan of 60's Psycadelia. My Wife had spotted "Record collectors. 100 Greatest Psycadelic Records"
Whilst reading through it I came across the Entry for Billy Nichols. Of whom I had heard nothing.(Unsurprising it would seem as His Album "Would you believe" is one of the Genres extreme rarities.
I had to seek this out!
On searching Amazon.Com It was fantastic to see that not only has the original Album been re-released.
You could also get this Anthology from Castle Records.
43 Tracks!
Was prepared to expect the tracks from the 60's to be the only ones I'd be interested in. IE. Most of the Original Album.
But no! This whole Anthology(Right up to present day).
Is absolutely brilliant.
This is not background music. It is serious listening music. From someone. Who I can only describe as probably the most unheralded Singer/songwriter on the planet!(For the last 40years I may add)(Apart from writing Phil Collins,s 2002 US No1 "Can't stop loving you).
There are no fillers on this 2 disc anthology Every track is memorable.(Trust me. You don't need to hear samples)
I cannot give you favourite standout tracks.(Everyone is a GEM!).
Buy the album.Read the sleeve notes and I can guarantee. You will write a fantastic review.
I was prepared to try it out without hearing a note.
For this money. You could not possibly be dissappointed If you are into listening to excellent songs/music craft.
