No Reserve: 1977 Ford Maverick 2-Door Sedan

This 1977 Ford Maverick is finished in Light Blue over Medium Blue upholstery and powered by a 250ci inline-six mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip rear end, 17″ wheels, front disc brakes, polished bumpers, a three-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, power steering, and a Yamaha AM/FM cassette stereo and matching speakers. An oil change was recently carried out. The seller purchased the car in 2016, reportedly from the original owner’s family. It is now offered at no reserve with a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The seller states the body was refinished in the factory Light Blue (3U) under previous ownership and that the windshield and rear window seals leak. Spots of rust are present behind the rear wheels, there are scuffs on the bumpers, the brake lights do not work. Close-up photos of paint imperfections are provided in the gallery below.

Aftermarket 17″ five-spoke wheels are wrapped in Falken Pro G4 front and Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 rear tires. The car is equipped with power steering. Replacement rear leaf springs are fitted, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The seller notes the parking brake is disconnected and inoperable.

The cabin is upholstered in Medium Blue vinyl and cloth on the seats, door panels, carpets, and dashboard. Equipment includes an aftermarket dashboard cover, air conditioning, a heater, a glove box, and an aftermarket Yamaha AM/FM cassette stereo with matching speakers. The dashboard is cracked, stains are present on the seats, wear is noted in the carpeting, a knob is missing on the head unit, and the foam lining is cracked in the trunk.

An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel fronts an 85-mph speedometer as well as inoperable fuel and temperature gauges. The odometer shows 38k miles, and the true mileage is unknown. The seller states the speedometer is inaccurate as a result of a modified rear differential ratio.

The 250ci inline-six was rated at 98 horsepower when new. The seller states that the carburetor and fuel tank have been replaced, and an oil change was carried out.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted C4 three-speed automatic transmission, and the seller notes that a limited-slip rear end with 3.50:1 gearing has been fitted.

The car’s serial number indicates that it is a two-door 1977 Ford Maverick that was built in Kansas City with a 250ci inline-six under the hood. The door-jamb sticker decodes as follows:
