Nice and clean campus with all facilities taken care of. School offered many different opportunites for both arts and sports.
Could not have had a better 4 years than I did at Foothill. I made life long friends, played the sports I love and coaches that support me. My teachers always fueled my dreams and were there when I needed them. Thank you Foothill for my 4 years
I have either loved, or hated my classes at Foothill High School. I would love to see less favoritism amongst the sports and student council kids and would love to see equal opportunities for all.
Foothill has some of the best teachers imaginable, however, dominates the opposite side of that spectrum too. The sports teams are incredibly mediocre and can only win with a huge mix of talent or a 'generational' talent.
All I have to say is that Foothill is a classic over crowded, underfunded public high school. I would love to see the bathrooms cleaned up because of right now half of them are broken and a lot of the times they are closed during school hours.
Foothill is overall a pretty good school. Like all high schools in Clark County School District, it has plenty of room to improve. However, overall, I believe most would agree that Foothill is a pretty good school.
Foothill High School as been a great high school to attend, doing a great job in pushing me to do my best and encouraging college readiness in both my academics and personal growth. In my experience, diversity isn't the strongest but the community is tight-knit regardless and extremally supportive. Most of the time however, administration doesn't make well thought out decisions when it comes to the wants and needs of the student body or its teachers.
I’ve had two kids graduate from Foothill and I have been very impressed with the teachers and overall high school experience. It’s not as big as most Vegas high schools so the students get to know each other and the staff easily but has everything you want from high school - amazing marching band, sports, clubs, debate, outstanding Student Council and a lot more. I feel lucky my kids grew up in the OneHill alignment as you don’t get that many places in Vegas. Highly recommend Foothill
My overall experience with this high school has been positive. The environment for sports has always been positive, and the support for these has been good as well. It creates a good environment for the students and brings the school together.
During my 4 years of high school I would rate my experience a 4/5. Personally I have been lucky to have a good high school life that including good teachers, classes, and being able to be part of a school with amazing school spirit. The only issue that I can point out would be some of the rules and people that attend however, that's not in the schools control.
Doesn't have a lot of diversity nor any school spirit at all! Staff can be strict and some teachers make you feel dumb for asking a question in class. In other words, some teachers want you to strive in their class. It's really a hit or miss. The campus is literally the miniature version of all the high schools in NV.
Overall I had a positive experience with Foothill, being involved with the yearbook and journalism programs as well as their AP and Dual credit programs. The school improved with the principal Jonathan Synold taking charge to improve academics.
Foothill High School is overall a great school. As it is recently part of the UNR academy, the school offers credits from UNR. Overall I attended a couple of this classes and my experience was not the worst or the best. Sure it is easy college credits but I feel like the program can improve overall in structure. I truly am a fan of the program and got the good end but I’d like for it to give a more college-like experience which challenges and questions the psychological ideas of students. Of course it is a new program and I hope to hear it improve over the years. It was overall a great time going to the school as it greatly impacted me in a positive way and inspired me even more to seek a higher education.
The teachers are really nice. My counselor is very kind and helpful whenever I need her help. Our school is not diverse school but everything is ok because they are surprisingly nice. I have a chance to study and work with smart people and that makes me feel good.
Foothill has a large course selection and has a lot of opportunity for accelerated learning and many ways to get college credit at the school. The main downside to Foothill is that the district its in is not great. CCSD makes it very hard to stand out because they create policies to try to make everyone look the same on paper. Basically, if you’re a student who does not care about academics then its a great district because you basically have to do a couple assignments a quarter to pass the classes but for anyone wanting to actually do the work, you’ll be getting similar results as if you barely try.
I love all the opportunities present at Foothill High School. During my Freshman year, I participated in their JV volleyball team, College Club, Journalism, and their award-winning marching band. These activities have shaped my time at Foothill and have helped it to stand apart from your "average high-school experience". Along with all of the opportunities present at Foothill, it is full of staff members who truly care for you as an individual and make you feel heard. Overall, I feel safe and cared for at Foothill.
This school is wonderful! The teachers are very welcoming and help to work toward your needs. The students are kind and social. Making friends there is super easy. The school is fairly clean, for the most part. Everything is very organized and not hectic. Overall, it is a wonderful school.
