In 2015, well after the rumor mill had stopped spitting out stories about Cusimano and his supposed affinity for feet and strange women, the pair renewed their vows to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. They returned to the castle in Tuscany where they got married (and brought along 100 of their friends and family members) to declare their never-ending love for each other in a beautiful ceremony during which "there wasn't a dry eye in the house."

Though not currently practicing law for anyone besides his uber-successful wife, John Cusimano has a profile at Martindale.com that lists his company as Watch Entertainment Inc. His profile also shows him completing undergrad studies at State University in Binghamton, New York, in 1989 and continuing on at Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardoza School of Law, garnering a juris doctor degree in 1994.
Ray herself recognizes the value of having an attorney on standby. "The smartest thing I ever did was marrying an entertainment lawyer — saved me a bundle!" In the clip, Cusimano goes on to explain, "I used to practice in New York City as an entertainment lawyer, primarily in film. Then I met this one. He helped film her show from home during quarantine
It turns out John Cusimano was pretty handy when the "Rachael Ray Show" became a home-based production. When COVID-19 restrictions forced operations to move to her personal kitchen, Cusimano was able to pivot and pitch in to serve as her cameraman to keep churning out episodes. Ray told Us Magazine, "Since we have been making TV at home John has had to take on a million roles." According to the article, this co-working situation clued both of them in on the nuts and bolts of one another's work. "John and I have always worked together, but in separate buildings," Ray explained.
Though it took a bit of adjustment, the couple was able to work out a balance between being home and working together. "I think we have a deeper appreciation of each other when we are not driving each other nuts, just like anybody else," Ray told Us Magazine. Home filming halted when the couple's house burned down in August 2020, bringing Cusimano's responsibilities as part of the production team to a sudden and heartbreaking halt. Though no one was injured in the fire, the house and makeshift studio were a total loss.

After losing their beloved pit bull, Isaboo, in 2020, John Cusimano and Rachael Ray adopted Bella Boo Blue, a half pit bull, half Weimaraner whose name is a tribute to Isaboo. "We will open our home and our hearts to another animal in need, because that is what Izzy would want," Rachael said in the message.
