This class will teach you how to be a "Wikipedian", editing or creating real pages for science, contributing directly to world knowledge on topics related to molecular biology while developing skills in and appreciation for scientific literacy.
This wiki education module of the course will count for 25% of HW Bass' Adv Molec Biol (PCB 5595) course. Most active assignments are set for the latter 1/3 of the Fall semester, with initial tutorials and exercises starting around mid-term in week 7 of the Fall semester FSU calendar.
Each student will take the WEP tutorials mid-semester, select pages and begin content editing in November, and present a summary of their contributions in class a the end of the course (in December).
