Florida State University Reviews
Rating 3.88 out of 5 7,634 reviews
FSU has a beautiful campus and outstanding athletics. The student body is very diverse and is known as one of the friendliest campuses in the country. The academics are very challenging, but ample tutoring and help is available. The sciences need more professors and better professors and more course offerings. This is something the school should really focus on. Dorms are typical dorms, definitely need dehumidifiers to avoid mold issues. The Greek life is very robust as is the club scene, but plenty of other activities to do and clubs to join outside of those. Overall, I absolutely love FSU and definitely feel I made the right choice. Go Noles!
I have enjoyed attending Florida State University so far. I am in the College of Music, which houses some fantastic professors and a competitive yet collaborative environment. I often feel the greater university outside the college of music is a different world -- academics are considerably worse in many departments and the student body is greatly different. The surrounding area of Tallahassee is very poorly designed and student housing is often in very dangerous neighborhoods due to the lack of pedestrian and public transit infrastructure.
I am not a traditional american college student, but I still managed to fit in. There is great financial aid opportunity. I have started to enjoy american football and the local area quickly grew on me. Living on campus is underrated as it is extremely convenient. Classes can be difficult but if you only bite off as much as you can chew you will be okay! I am a current student and a huge fan of FSU, and I hope that whoever reads this gives FSU consideration.
