Stoned rambling aside, I prefer the earlier Les Cousins set but this is still a nice slice of live Roy, who gets to rock at times with the help of Jimmy Page, Keith Moon and others. The less said about the cover photo the better but I for one kinda admire ugly ass Roy's bravery.

The material with Mr. Page is pretty good but the rest is not so hot. This is "live" and most tracks are way over extended.

I saw the uncensored version of the cover for this long play and I can report the gent could get away with a smaller hat.

RIP Henry McCullough RIP Ronnie Lane
RIP Keith Moon RIP David Bedford
RIP John Bonham

The uncensored version of the cover clarifies why Jimmy Page penned the track "Hat's off to (Roy) Harper" on Led Zeppelin III.

Apart from the opening track 'Home' this is a live affair culled from performances over several years. Material from the '74 tour features the aforementioned Mr Page.

Things tend to get rather long-winded eg; "Highway Blues", and the version of "Another Day" is disappointingly off-key, yet there's plenty of delay-drenched 12 string action to keep the faithful happy.

Nice...

same type of 12-sting strumming and vocal manner throughout, doesn't keep my interest and is a little grating after awhile. the ribald lyrics are juvenile.

Anyone whose pictured having a Tommy Tank on an album front cover deserves 5 stars.

this is a wonderful live album (or a compilation of live tracks, anyway) that is worth seeking out. i'm not too familiar with roy
harper's music but i've always enjoyed what i've heard. actually, he's a one-of-a-kind really, some of these songs are all over the
place, which is really saying something when the instrumentation is just acoustic guitar/vocals. recommended for people into 70s
singer/songwriters that want to go further out than what that label immediately sugges
