The high school definitely has more opportunities compared to high schools in Queens. Lots of clubs that allow students to grow and compete with other schools ata state, regional, and even international level. The students can be unruly but what high school students aren’t.
Floral Park Memorial has provided me with the best educational experience and has helped me grow into a confident, mature, and hardworking individual. It has given me opportunities to take on leadership roles in clubs and extracurricular activities, such as captain for my schools Varsity Softball. Floral Park has also taught me skills and tools that will help me succeed post high school. Floral Park Memorial has provided me with enticing courses that have challenged my abilities to grow and take on the skills I need to succeed in my desired career.

Floral Park Memorial High Schools remains to be one of the best schools out there in Long Island. Ever since Seventh Grade, I have had consistently above average education, an amazing experience with the extracurricular activities given (of which there are a lot), and overall have had a blast with both friends and teachers alike.
Senior Prom was alright. There was a lack of communication between guidance counselors and students so I would like to see mandatory meetings throughout the year established. I never could make the basketball team, but that had more to do with the fact that I was terrible and didn't know what I was doing and less to do with my teammates not letting me cook during tryouts. It was sad. I always hated homecoming, we would sit in the freezing cold for hours and wouldn't be able to leave until it was over. I also fell on my face walking away from there one time. Overall, my experience at this school was interesting.
Floral Park Memorial High School is a phenomenal institution. I could not speak more highly of the educators in this building. The teachers and administrators treat the students like their own children. They work exceptionally and admirably hard to connect with and help each of their pupils. The school’s standard teaching methods are effective and keep the children engaged. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at FPM as do my children today.
Good school. It is a very tight-knit community. Everyone knows each other and there are so many events throughout the school + neighborhood for kids to have fun.
I have grown a lot since I entered this school. The people here, both students and teachers, are very supportive of each other and I have made a lot of good friends.
A big pro about this school are the sewanhaka programs. I was part of the pre-engineering program and those classes were the best I have ever taken.
Another big pro about this school is the district's robotics club. The robotics club meets for over 500 hours each year to build a robot for the FTC competition, and I have learned invaluable skills from it, both soft and hard skills. As the lead programmer, I looked at the AP Comp Sci A frqs, and I know how to do every single question because of robotics, despite never taking a computer science course in my life.
A downside to this school is the fact that the 7th graders are looked down upon by both the students and the teachers, to the point where it could be considered bullying. There's also a lot of gum underneath every desk.

Small school, easy to get involved and teachers are personable and offer opportunities for extra help if necessary
An excellent school I studied here from my sophomore to senior. The teachers and the administration were really helpful. All the students are really well behaved. There are many clubs to join according to your interest. Finally this I would recommend everyone to join this school it is one the best school under Sewanhaka District schools.
This school trash lol! No cap. I can name a couple of ways this school trash. 1. Idk 2. I’ll never know 3. Bruh 4. This is a bad skill dont go pls this is not good school pls dont go pls dong go pls dont go bad school xd!
What I loved about Floral Park Memorial was the teacher and the whole staff because they care about every student and they want every student to succeed even if there are failing, The actives and Sports were great !
The staffs are nice and friendly, they offer a variety of classes. It’s easy to get around and the teachers are always trying their best to help.
The teachers give a lot of support however baby students too much which makes many not prepared for college. The guidance counselors are helpful to a degree but for college you have to make sure you are reminding them and keeping in contact.
It's a great school academically. However, as a person of color, at times it's challenging to assimilate and/or participate in some of the traditions of the PWI due to cultural differences between not only yourself, but administrators as well.
A good school. Events like spirit day and homecoming are super fun. Some teachers can be annoying but others are great.
My Experience at Floral Park Memorial has been a great. The Staff makes you feel like you’re safe & they treat you like their own kids .
