Led Zeppelin actually signed Bad Company — a supergroup formed from members of Free, Mott the Hoople, and King Crimson — as the first act on its own label, Swan Song. So it wasn’t a shock when, a decade later, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers joined forces, their bands being defunct. They added Manfred Mann drummer Chris Slade and bass player Tony Franklin to form the supergroup The Firm.
The band had two hit albums, reaching as high as #17 in the Billboard Hot 100, and also hitting #1 on the Billboard Top Rock Tracks chart with the song Radioactive.
