Kevin Maher Times (UK) From the guitar roar on the Dust Brothers' opening title track through to the thundering drums of Pixies' Where Is My Mind? it is pure synapse-splitting sensory overload and the road that commercial cinema refused to take. Rated: 5/5 Mar 15, 2024 Full Review Wendy Ide Times (UK) David Fincher’s adaptation of the Chuck Palahniuk novel is a shrewd and expertly crafted study of the male in crisis. May 24, 2023 Full Review Bob Thomas Associated Press Perhaps it is postmodern filmmaking, whatever that means. In any case, Fight Club remains the ugliest, most inhuman film since Natural Born Killers. Rated: C- Apr 7, 2020 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills Fight Club did indeed fly over the heads of audiences expecting straight macho action thrills, as opposed to a mind-messing critique of the same, as well as capitalism, material acquisition, masculinity and other sacred cows of national identity. Feb 14, 2024 Full Review Chuck Klosterman Akron Beacon Journal Fight Club is very, very, very good. Rated: 3.5/4 Oct 26, 2023 Full Review Manuel São Bento MSB Reviews With an absolutely brilliant direction and execution, David Fincher uses Jim Uhls’ captivating, layered, unconventional screenplay to tackle themes such as consumerism, society’s behavior, and mental health. Audience Member One of the best movies in the 20th century, it really shows how a regular man can turn into something more than just regular. I can’t spoil much to people who haven’t watched it to enjoy this experience. But I would recommend this. I can’t give it a perfect rating, because I still think that the movie can get a little messy at times but it’s a good film, I enjoyed it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/10/24 Full Review Tara C a bit long but overall intersting Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/07/24 Full Review Akash A What setting are we put in? When you watch a movie for 2 hours, you enter into the protagonist's perspective. Here we are watching a mentally ill man, for 2 hours. I think it's a decent watch when you don't know the ending. But for someone who's figured it out, the fact that they're the same person, it really doesn't offer much. I rewatched it after 10 years knowing nothing but the ending, but still felt unimpressed with the plot. There's no real plot to it. And again, we're entering a mentally ill man's brain state for 2 hours. Not the coolest place to be. Is this because it pushes me towards that or makes me question who is real in my life? Not exactly - it just isn't entertaining. Does make me wanna learn some fighting though. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/06/24 Full Review Holly G Did not particularly enjoy this film. I understand it but overall was bored and it didn’t do much for me. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review Audience Member One of the best movies if seen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/24/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
