Highlights
  • Taroudant - Begin your journey in the morning with a pickup from your hotel or the cruise ship terminal (Agadir porte) to visit (Taroudant & Tiout). Taroudant is a city in the southwest of Morocco, situated in the Souss valley, about 80 km from Agadir. It’s a charming city, encircled by stunning ochre walls that are a sight worth seeing on their own. Once the capital of the Saadian dynasty, Taroudant boasts a quaint medina and modest yet fascinating souks.\n\nOften referred to as the ‘Little Marrakech’ due to its impressive walls and the lively atmosphere created by mopeds, street vendors, and pedestrians, Taroudant is a city with a rich and eventful history, offering a wealth of historical sites to explore. To truly appreciate the city, one must stroll through its six kilometers of majestic walls, which glow pink in the sunlight. Each of the nine arched gateways has its own name, adding charm beyond mere numbers. The city’s alleyways are home to a craft bazaar famous for its exquisite Berber silver jewelry, a local tradition. Taroudant is also known for its carpets, with people traveling from afar to bargain for the region’s distinctive Berber rugs.

the village of Tiout palm grove reminiscent of Marrakech. The ruins of an ancient kasbah transformed into a tourist restaurant, dominate the site. From the top of the peak, breathtaking views to offer on the High Atlas and the Souss Valley. For the record, Fernandel turned Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves in this palm grove in 1954.

The pretty Berber town offers much to see and it is on the road to Agadir, these attics villages, which date from the 16th century and are a must-see before they completely disappeared.

To do absolutely - A memorable day of visit. The Taroudant souk is authentic. Very pleasant walk in the Tiout Oasis after an excellent meal at the Kasbah restaurant. Our 2 excellent guides Hassan and Amid made this day memorable.

Tiout is a must see and visit - This all day excursion is a fascinating visit to a beautiful oasis in Tiout. If you are coming from Agadir save your money for the sook in Taroudannt. More typical and less expensive. Our guide Aziz was his usual informative and helpful self. If you can ask Simo (the boss) for Aziz. Lunch, Tijane and couscous included were very good. This was our 4th tour. You cannot go wrong by choosing this company. Robert M.

Recommend this day trip to Taroudant! - We had a fantastic trip to Taroudant and Tiout with the accomplished and warm tour guide, Abdul Latif (sp?). He is a history scholar, and spoke with pride and knowledge about the places we visted, Morrocco, and its historical relationship to the Iberian penninsula, other parts of Europe, and the U.S. We also enjoyed strolling the market area of Taroudant, and a delicious meal in a Berber home in Tiout. The minivan was comfortable and the driver excellent. All around, a wonderful day for our family of four!

What a fantastic trip to go on - Booked this directly on whatsapp and they responded very quickly to all question no money paid until day of pick up. The small minibus arrived at exact time and was clean and comfortable. Following the near 2 hour drive we stopped just outside Taroudant at a lovely cafe for a quick toilet break and drink. We then went into Taradount where our guide showed us round the authentic berber market this was amazing and something we would of never done by ourselves but all the stall holders made us feel very safe and welcoming. We spent around 1 hour 30 mins here and then headed off on a fairly short journey to Tioute passing a herd of camels and also seeing 2 lots of the tree climbing goats. Next stop was for lunch on a mountain side restaurant with amazing views and the food was also really nice. After lunch we was then taken down the mountain to meet a different guide who was brilliant he made everyone laugh and also helped some of the less stable people in our group over some fairly rocky terrain. Next up was a trip on a donkey if you wanted to but please note you are expected to pay the 5 euros whether you ride or not,the ride takes you through a community oasis and shows just how well the villagers manage some challenging conditions. This completed the day and just left the journey back we arrived safely back at our hotel some 9 hours 30 minutes after leaving it and all this for just 40 euros amazing value for money and i can only highly recommend this trip.

Comfortable trip to the traditional Moroccan cities - Very well organized, comfortable journey in a small group. We just wrote an inquiry in Whatsapp few days in advance and get replay very quickly. No payment in advance, just paid reasonable price when bus came in agreed time (small technical delay is understandable as we lived in the last hotel in the schedule). Riding on donkey is really recommended - the way through oasis is pleasant but quite long. Donkeys are clean, and people in the village are friendly and nice. Thanks for our interesting, emotional nice day in traditional Moroccan cities👍☺️

Bad trip to Airport with Thami - Thami (driver) was very rude and unfriendly. At the end of the trip (to Airport) he said that he has no change and didn't wanted to open the door until we pay more than was agreed. Not recommended.

Do something else. - Well the visit to the Tiout palm grove was nice but that's it. 4 hours of driving during the day (A/R from Agadir), a guide in Tiout who puts you on the donkey by force for 300m then who asks you for 20€, +5€ for a developed photo even though you didn't ask for anything ( yes I know, it's the local culture, but I went to Morocco 3 times, a week in Jordan and one in Egypt, I have never seen such forcing). The meal: tagine and burnt bread, at the end of the meal the waiter tells you that bottles of water are not included (even though we heard the guide next door say that they were) Taroudant is not worth it, there is nothing to see, we were taken to Souc which is nothing exceptional. For a day at 190€ privately (taxed) I say to you: go do something else.
