Fearless (Taylor’s Version) Tracklist
Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is the first of Taylor Swift’s rerecorded albums, which she created to regain ownership of the six albums she created under Big Machine Records. It includes a new version of every song on Fearless Platinum Edition, along with standalone single “Today Was a Fairytale” and six songs she cut from the original 2008 Fearless album.
On February 11, 2021, Swift appeared on Good Morning America to announce her re-recording of “Love Story”, which came out that night at midnight, and Fearless.
Later that morning, Swift posted a letter to fans on Instagram, thanking them for their support and expressing her excitement about the project. For her first five albums, she left hidden notes via capitalized letters in her album booklets, and she continued this tradition to hide the message “April Ninth” in the note, revealing the release date.

Why was Fearless released first?
Swift explained in an interview for Republic Records:
Deciding on what album to re-record first was pretty easy for me. I always gravitated towards Fearless because I think that, as an album, it was a real coming-of-age. And I look back on that album and it fills me with such pride, and it was an album about hope, and lessons learned, and the effervescence of teenage youth and all that. What more fun than to go back and explore that?
