- Robb FPort Orange, FL14 contributionsAudra who was working there at the time of my visit was so helpful, friendly and informative. Learned so much about the area from her. Unique place to visit, with a gift shop and exhibits relating to the movie, Fargo. On display is the actual garden shredder from the movie with a human foot sticking out! Another cool thing is you can select and write a post card and they will send it for free. Outside is a Walk of Fame featuring some of the rich and famous who have visited the city. Well worth a visit, and just off I-94 so easy access.
PS the kids on my school bus loved the coloring books and crayons you kindly gave me, kept them entertained the entire journey home!Written April 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The day we went, the animals were active even in the cold weather. The zoo prides itself in keeping animals that adapt to the weather. The Eagle display and birds were not available.Written April 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ceetee00Omaha, NE136 contributionsThe place is on campus of NDSU. The FargoDome is right over the outfield fence. Newman Outdoor is sort of unique as the dimensions of the field reflect 1961 Yankee Stadium where Roger Maris hit his 61 home runs (he was a local Fargo boy) . The stadium has safety netting all the way down the stands on first and third so virtually no foul balls will come into contact with your face. The parking is $3 right across the street. Admission is reasonable at $10-$12. You will have to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the entrance. The concessions are like a county fair midway. Specialized shacks catering to all needs from tacos to hot dogs to ice cream to donuts to pretzels and is relatively cheap. I got a Hamms beer for $6 and there are numerous choices if Hamms isnt your bag. I was just doing the Upper Midwest beer thing. - KK78Bay Shore, NY730 contributionsNice little museum in the mall - it features several display cases and a little room. It's a nice tribute to a great ballplayer. - aspoe093Pierre, SD625 contributionsWhat an amazing place. All the beers were so good and the smoothie beers were great as well. An amazing atmosphere with tons of pinball machines that my kids enjoyed while I enjoyed the beer.Written January 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 402lindseyaGreenwood, NE33 contributionsIt was nie. Quite a variety of store. Found some great chains that i love, Lululemon. Some treat local stores as well. Got to eat at the food court and that was wonderful. I wish there was more natural light.Written July 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PrincermanOtsego, MN911 contributionsThe Fargodome is an interesting venue for football. They do a nice job with what they have in terms of amenities. The food options are mostly carts and traditional concession faire. I loved the opening when the team came in right before the game started.Written October 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jr2017H2OValparaiso, IN337 contributionsThis is a pretty campus. Bigger than I thought. By that I mean more buildings than I expected. But they seem to be well kept from the outside.
I've visited many campuses around the country so I was interested in seeing this. I read where they have about 14,000 students. This was the summer so there weren't any there.
We did pop into the bookstore and it was very big. Lots to choose from plus they were having a sale. We parked in the related parking lot for free.
We drove past the other buildings including the Fargodome. There was more student housing than I expected.Written July 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My expectations for North Dakota were embarrassing low and this race exceed expectations. The start/finish in the FargoDome was an interesting twist. Depending on your COVID comfort, the start could be uncomfortable for some. It was a mass start inside with no mask requirement. The race course is flat, beautiful, and well organized. From the back of the pack perspective, there were a few things to note. I finished in 6 hours. The course limit is 7. On the back half of the race, bands were breaking down as we went by or gone completely. The beer and Sandy's Donuts had run out by the time we finished. This was true of people that finished around the 4 hour mark as well. I was very excited to get both. Overall, I would highly recommend this race to anyone going for 50 states and needs North Dakota. The charm of the experience is Fargo itself. Great restaurants, breweries, and boutiques.Written September 26, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
