One of the greatest movies Disney ever created. It's timeless, and just as magical to watch in 2023, as it was in the 1940's. Not just for adults either, my 3yr old granddaughter was transfixed and watched the whole movie without having her attention removed on the screen. Truly a work of art.

It can be hard to remember that at one time Walt Disney's aims for animation were equal parts commercial and artistic success. "Fantasia" (for awhile at least) failed at the first but it mostly succeeds at the second. The expository scenes between each animation piece are utterly pointless but they're easy to ignore.

Disney's finest and most utterly grandiose composition of light, colours, and sound. A breathtaking and outstanding achievement where animation that could be counted among the finest pieces of art in a museum meets some of the most dignified pieces of music ever written without ever pandering to the audience.
