Once upon a time, I was a kid listening to my parents' LP, "Nancy & Lee". Her voice was light and airy, his a low growl -- together, they wove a spell. One of the strongest songs is the rarely-heard "Summer Wine," a duet between Lee as a rugged cowboy and Nancy as an elusive temptress. Continental Airlines includes this track on their "summer" background music -- the songs playing as you board the planes in Houston during the months of June, July and August. Hearing it on the plane, I was reminded of the songs from my childhood and set off on a search to find them. Success at last, when I located this CD on Amazon.com.
The CD brings back those songs from the "Nancy & Lee" record, plus a few added tracks. Their contrasting voices work well on "Sundown, Sundown" as well as country classics like "Jackson" and "Elusive Dreams." The Hazlewood-penned lyrics of "Some Velvet Morning", "Sand" and "Ladybird" are vague and alluring, drawing us into a magical world. It's good to know that world is still there, and I can go back....

I had the Nancy and Lee album years ago. Wore it out. Nancy Sinatra was not the best female volcalist, but paired up with the raspy baratone voice of Lee Hazelwood really was a magical musical experience. Solid songs with excellent instrumental and vocal backups made this CD a joy to listen to again. This CD has a few more songs than the record, but thay fit in and add to the fun. Can be pricey because it is very hard to find. A trip back in time is usually worth the price.

I own every Album, 45,CD,Mp3 of Nancy Sinatra And Lee Hazelwood.#1 Nancy Sinatra can not sing, could not sing ! she should not be allowed to sing period. It was Lee Hazelwood WHO MADE SINATRA and all the musical people that made her songs a Hit, It was all Lee Hazelwood, Billy Strange, Don Randi, Hal Blaine, Al Casey and so many others to cover up Nancy's so called voice. Even Lee said it himself. That is why he left Los Angeles without telling anyone. To go back to Europe to start on his own,I bought several CD's of just Lee only an he was Amazing all on his own. I miss that Talented Man as well as Billy Strange. It is time that NS retire from singing and performing she is making a fool of herself. She, needs to be a Mother, Grandmother, and do other things that make her happy (not singing Yikes). She is not that good anymore, all we get are pre recorded songs that come from the Vault. Really? If Cher, and so many other singers of the sixties who are doing so well today, they are touring, recording and they are all up to date. NS does not do that and, it is so disappointing an she is a Fraud! Simple. I do not dislike NS at all, she just can not sing like she so called used to. It is a Joke and I get so embarrassed when I know she is making a appearance with a band she holds the Microphone so close to her mouth, so that she can sing an sound like a Tough Biker Chick, it is so WRONG. And the Botched Up Plastic Surgery makes her look like a Chipmunk hiding nuts in her face for the winter. What is that all about? Do not call that age. She needs a repair job on her lips. She just looks so Bad. Maybe, just Maybe she should move to Europe, that is where she is so famous and well loved and stay there. The Desert heat is destroying her. But do not stay here in the States. She never was that good, so what, if "These Boot's Are Made For Walking" was a Block buster, Thank Lee Hazelwood For That! it was only her last name "Sinatra" that made her. She can not find a Label to produce her, so now, we only can buy her songs though the internet. Come on. We all know that to find a Label it is not the Money. It is will she sell! they do not want to take a chance on her. They would not make any Money from her, and that is so very sad. Even if your name is Sinatra. She is depending on her Daughters to help her make a comeback, and that too is very sad. I am being honest and just stating the fact's, if you do not like what I said, so be it. It is a free Country, Freedom of Speech. I can say whatever I want without using Foul Language.
