In the mid-1960s, wealthy debutant Edie Sedgwick meets artist Andy Warhol. She joins Warhol's famous Factory and becomes his muse. Although she seems to have it all, Edie cannot have the love she craves from Andy, and she has an affair with a charismatic musician, who pushes her to seek independence from the artist and the milieu.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
So Edie goes to New York to become Holly Golightly and, like most of those chasing fame and fortune (and Ms. Golightly herself, read the book), it doesn't work out so well in the end.
Even so, I absolutely adore her. Edie really is a fascinating figure, a woman of such poise and beauty, albeit "damaged goods", and caught up in a world that she was too naive to survive in.
The film, and Sienna Miller, did her justice. It's flawed but it's lovely to watch.

You'll be happy to know this was the only rap review I ever wrote. I couldn't find my movie ticket, so I don't know the exact date I saw it.

The best Sienna Miller has been and likely ever will be. She became Edie Sedgwick, a truly superb performance. Bit of a harrowing movie overall, the fun at the beginning is so completely gone by the tragic end. It moves along nice and quickly and is never boring, a great biopic of an icon.
Hayden Christensen looks the most beautiful ever in this too.
She leaves only good wishes behind.
Been wanting to check this one out for awhile, because of a general interest in anything Andy Warhol, how Hayden Christensen is playing Bob Dylan (Only credited as "Musician" here because of a kerfuffle surrounding the production of the film.), and how it's a blink and you'll miss it cameo, but two members of Weezer play members of the Velvet Underground. It's frustrating how close this is to a wholly good movie while just missing the mark. There are aspects about it I like quite a bit. This is a real mixed bag and it's hard to decide how I feel about this. I'm a huge fan of Warhol and Edie Sedgwick and as a big fan watching this felt like pure comfort fan service. It's a satisfying watch because of how well they bring to life all the people and show cool little things like the making of Warhol's films or random events. But on the flip side people like Lou Reed and Bob Dylan have said this is offensively far from reality. I think the way this romanticized reality and is pretty apparent while watching it. Certain parts feel a little bit in bad taste. There are also a lot of bad performances, the casting was awful, and there's a big lack of self-awareness. So it's not really a good movie and it's a terrible biopic, but for a comfort watch it's not that bad. I just wish Hayden Christensen wasn't in it.
