Cruisin' with Frankie Avalon

Roselle and Glenn Kammerman (pictured, from left), along with friends Anne and Rick Frachtman, took a trip down memory lane aboard the Malt Shop Memories Cruise. A ’50s and ’60s music-themed cruise on the Holland America Line Nieuw Amsterdam featured sock hops, prom night, saddle shoes, poodle skirts, and plenty of nostalgia. The Kammermans and Frachtmans sailed to St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas while attending live performances on board from ’50s and ’60s musical icons including Frankie Avalon. The cruise took place during the Astros run for the 2022 World Series title, and the couples encountered some unpleasant Phillies fans in the ship’s bar. Fortunately, the Astros’ win made the cruise even more memorable.
