With most experts recommending that people quarantine themselves for protection against the coronavirus (COVID-19), several streaming services have offered free options and deals to help combat boredom. Currently, HBO is offering free episodes, documentaries and more."So, I really want to give everyone my HBO login but I can’t. Will you accept a bunch of free episodes instead?" posted the official HBO Twitter page along with a link to HBO's free episodes page. Featured on the page are pilot episodes from some of HBO's most popular shows, including True Detective, The Wire, Big Little Lies, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Game of Thrones and The Sopranos.Â
There are also several documentaries available for free streaming, one featuring the people closest to Martin Luther King Jr. called King in the Wilderness and another about a man that rigged the McDonald's monopoly games entitled McMillions. Other HBO TV series featuring free episodes include Eastbound & Down, Euphoria, His Dark Materials and many more.
In addition to HBO, the horror film and TV streaming service Shudder is also offering a deal during the coronavirus outbreak, which includes a 30-day free time.
HBO has several upcoming series planned to release in the next year, including the Jordon Peele-produced Lovecraft Country and Joss Whedon's The Nevers.Â
