Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/12/23 Full Review Lukas-Jeremie K F is for Family is not an innovative comedy series. A family man who works a low-paying job and has a difficult relationship with his family is nothing new, but a comedy series doesn't need to Invent the wheel new. It just need to be funny and that is "F is for Family" without a doubt! I think the series is very well done and has often brought me good laughs and kept me entertained for hours. It's a comedy series, so there is not very much to unpack here, but it's definitely one of the few very good Netflix series on their platform. I am sad it ended, but hey, every good things must come to an end sooner or later. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/09/23 Full Review Wolfgang G F is for Family ist eine Animationsserie von Bill Burr und Michael Price. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/14/23 Full Review Sutandy T Amazing show. I think it is easy to misidentify this show as just another animated, mindlessly raunchy comedy. It's dark and raunchy but it has heart. You watch the Murphy family at odds with family, work, school, friends and just life but through it all, they remain a family, however, toxic it may be. The jokes are there, and for me, it hits a soft spot for sure. Absolutely love it. Ben Travers indieWire F is for Family asks us to live in that period setting and identify with the abuser instead of the abused. It's a tougher challenge, for sure, and one worth taking on. Rated: B- Jan 30, 2019 Full Review Emily St. James Vox It's a neat little series with potential to be a whole lot more - and it's well worth sampling on a gray, wintry afternoon. Jan 30, 2019 Full Review Dennis Perkins AV Club Burr's comedy, while "un-PC," is deceptively nuanced in its worldview -- or as nuanced as his rant-based standup can be. Rated: B Dec 20, 2015 Full Review Dan Buffa KSDK News (St. Louis) It's maniac ranting and high energy laughs from Burr and company, including a hilarious Michael Kenneth Williams as the local vending machine clerk, Smoky. Nov 10, 2020 Full Review Donald Strohman The Young Folks Ultimately, F is for Family wastes the talents of Bill Burr on juvenile humor and unsympathetic characters, creating an outright abysmal experience overall. Rated: 2/10 Jan 11, 2016 Full Review Daniel Johnson Screen Rant It's somewhat crudely animated and is as vulgar and profane as any sitcom ever created; yet, at the same time, it's surprisingly heartfelt and occasionally optimistic, lending the final product a satisfying balance of dark humor and genuine affection.
