SWERDLOW--Ezra.

Ezra Swerdlow, longtime New York film producer, died of complications from pancreatic cancer and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in Boston on January 23 at the age of 64. A lover of fine food, wine, music, golf, and political discourse, Swerdlow was above all devoted to friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Lindsey, son Nick, daughter-in-law Caroline, siblings Joan, Lisa and Tommy, brother-in-law Rob, and many loving nieces and nephews. Ezra was among the most decent, principled--and frankly--one of the sweetest guys with whom I ever worked. He was the definition of a mensch. He will be sorely missed by me, and anyone who ever had the pleasure of working with him. May he rest in peace.

Lindsay and Nick, I am so deeply, deeply sorry. What a terrific person, with a wonderful family. He left a powerful legacy, fine people and many fond memories behind. Sue Treiman

In Great Neck, a town I haven't visited for decades, I went to high school with Ezra. He was that gentle, redheaded fellow - mountain-man big and strong, who I knew
from our group at the arts center. His sister Lisa was a fellow member of our Terpsichore dance group. How strange to be reminded of this, decades later, our lives lived without contact, and still be deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Love to all of you, his family and friends.
