      Critics Consensus

Extraterrestial does deliver a certain amount of gory genre thrills, but they're outweighed by the crushing clichés of its sagging script.

BigD J I found this movie to be more entertaining than I expected. I was anticipating a cheesy low budget flop, which the first two parts turned out as predicted. However, a flop it was not… kind of a cross between Communion, Fire in the Sky, and a future movie Nobody Will Save You all wrapped into one. Also kind of has some Evil Dead cabin vibes goin on. Sure, if you've see one abduction movie, you've seen em all. But this one was rather enjoyable and worth a watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/30/23 Full Review George P The music in the movie is 10x louder than it needs to be meaning I was constantly adjusting the volume of the movie for the first 30 minutes until I decided to just turn it off. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie could have been good if it didn't rip off about every alien abduction narrative out there. It's predictable, it's corny,, it's filled with cliches, the camera work is shoddy and worst of all, the acting is atrocious!!! I really had high hopes for this one, but it's really not worth anyone's time. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't know why there is so many bad reviews.I enjoyed it and there is much worse alien films out there.I really like the ending bit of a twist Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Your life is vital and precious. Do not waste the time you have on this Earth by watching this. It is not worth your time and you have so, so much to live for. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie had no hope... and then Michael Ironside showed up... then the aliens showed up. I really like where this movie finished, especially in contrast to where it started, but how it got there was a bit unfocused and messy. 2 1/2 of 5 Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online ... you can pretty much figure out what will happen mere minutes into the film. Where's the suspense in that? Rated: F Sep 2, 2017 Full Review Anton Bitel Sight & Sound self-consciously trashy, trope-happy inanity that is relentlessly entertaining and rather forgettable - as though the viewer too has been subjected to an alien mind-wipe. Jan 2, 2015 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) There's nothing at all original, engaging, stimulating or thought-provoking (for all of these, see Invasion of the Body Snatchers) within its frames. Rated: 1/5 Dec 4, 2014 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review It's all very unintentionally funny. Rated: 0.5/4 Jul 18, 2022 Full Review Jason Adams The Film Experience I've seen a million disposable movies like Extraterrestrial at this point in my life Jul 6, 2021 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com A generic thrust of recycled, disambiguated alien abduction narratives that's not only hopelessly shallow but utterly routine.
