Everything Must Go is engrossing in its own way. This is not your classic Cow Bell Will Ferrell. He kind of aimlessly sad sacks his way through the film, resigned to his fate because either he has no motivation or maybe he just blames himself for all the bad stuff that happened. Anyway, his wife throws him and his stuff out on the front lawn, and he talks to the neighbors and has a yard sale. The end. Literally nothing else really happens. Audience members will either relate to that, or else hate the movie.

Will in a role that is not him at all, and it was really good. The actors/actresses played their roles very well. The storyline was simple, touching, and carried a lot of meaning for some, I think that is fair to say. The budget must have been in salaries, because there was no action, no stunts (not really), no sex (well 30 seconds of unique sex) no frills, no BS. This was simply a story, that is worth watching that will keep you glued to the screen throughout the movie. Watch this, it is worth the time investment, and tell a friend or 2 about it too!!! -Matthew

That was brutal. This is painfully slow. Guy gets fired, wife throws him out and lives on his lawn, the end. I have no idea how this got a "certified fresh" rating, is it a ‘fresh turd'? Bottom line, keep moving, nothing to see here.

The overall feeling the movie left me with was a lack of resolution. It felt like a long ride for really no "good" ending. And you know I love a bad ending but this was more of an absent ending? But enough about the conclusion of this movie. I'm a big Will Farrell fan, many people say he's only good for comedy but Stranger Than Fiction is one of my absolute favorite roles of his. So he can definitely play a serious role in a drama. I don't know what it is, but this movie is framed in many ways that it will be full of comedy relief and really wasn't. I was disappointed overall with the writing and making this ride a not very exciting one. It started out interesting but got a bit boring. The actors all did an amazing job though, it was a pretty well shot film as well. The camera work and set design and change of setting were great but also this film takes place mostly in the same setting Nick's front yard. End of the day they put work into it, so watch it yourself and see if you like it.
