Had some interesting songs I'd never heard before but will listen to again.

This is the first time I've ever done a (...) music review, and I wrote it because nobody has reviewed this excellent CD. All these years I thought I was the only person out there who recognized that Christopher Cross is one of the best pop songwriters of the past 20 years, so it's nice to see that almost all the (...) reviewers are hitting the nail right on the head by raving about this artist.
It is a shame that so many people only know about him because of his first, self-titled, album. He has not released a bad album in the 21 years since his first disc, and this CD is one of his most inventive. I don't care for "Charm The Snake," which I believe was released as a single. I don't know what the record company was thinking, because it's one of the only tracks that is not up to Mr. Cross' usual high standards. "Love Is Love" and "Swing Street" are bouncy uptempo numbers, "That Girl" is one of the artist's most infectious pop-rock numbers, and "Love Found A Home" is simply one of his most beautiful ballads, and that's saying a lot. The CD is worth purchasing for this song alone. "Open Your Heart" is another in a long line of gentle, yearning songs that he seems to have no shortage of.
Christopher Cross has almost singlehandedly been carrying on the tradition of great, melodic pop songwriting that seemed to vanish in the eighties. Whether it's his first album, (the brilliant) Another Page, Every Turn of The World, Back Of My Mind, Rendezvous (one of his best), Walking In Avalon, and even the gentle Window, if you love well-crafted melodic music with beautifully-clear arrangements and mature lyrics, not to mention his distinctive, near-perfect pop voice, you can't go wrong with any of his releases. He has more memorable songs on any one album than most artists do on three. No, I don't work for his record company. Buy all of his albums and you'll treasure them for years to come. And pity what has happened to contemporary music and songwriting, where an artist of his caliber can't even get played while our ears are assaulted by the product of so many hitmakers who don't have one-tenth the talent of Christopher Cross.

I love this CD. I play it a lot and it's good music. Every song has something notable about it. I am surprised it didn't chart better for Christopher Cross.

I now have all of the CDs that he has done that I can find. I will always love his voice and the music is beautiful!

Overlooked and underrated Cross effort from 1985 that features a mix of rock tunes, love tunes, and is, generally, a branch-off from his first two releases. If you enjoy Cross's unique sound and his underrated songwriting talent, you will definitely enjoy this album. Standout cuts are "That Girl", the title track, "Love is Love", and "Charm the Snake".

I live in Quebec, and I'm a fan of this artist. I got 5 CDs. By seeing the title 'Love is love' I thought it was a 'normal' song written by Christopher; I mean good but not the best. However, it's NOT, I listened it plenty of times and I'm loving this song, it's the best song of this CD.

The song 'Love is love' fits well with the album 'every turn of the world' while he says 'I love you' in several languages like everywhere in the world.

Good Idea Christopher!!

After winning (a then record) five grammys for his 1980 debut, Cross' popularity wained... (sniff). He had a few more hits from his second album in 1983. "Every Turn..." is not as strong an album in terms of consistency, but that is only because "Another Page" is nigh perfect.

Cross returns playing killer lead guitar solos on this album. His solo on the opening track is excellent and shows what a complete talent he is. His high tenor voice sounds strong as ever, and his writing remains top notch.

In my opinion (I am only a music fan who primarily looks for melody in music, which is mostly absent today) eight of the ten tracks on this album are great tunes. A couple songs are weak: track #3: "I Hear You Call" and track #7: "Swing Street." Seven of the ten songs are uptempo or midtempo rockers, while the remaining three are among his best ballads ever! Especially

"Love Found a Home."

At first I did not care for "Charm The Snake" but it grew on me because of the inspiring lyrics. I like this album as much as any of today's music (I grew up in the 1980's) so if you like melodic rock mixed with a few love ballads, this is a must listen. ( the Enuff Z'nuff album "?" is also a must!!)

This is Christopher Cross at his very best, all tracks are excellent but my favourite is "Love is Love (in any language), "I drink my Cola Saki, watching women brown, They call it paradaiso to me it's paradise" particularly because it was the dominant music for me during a holiday in Gran Canaria in 1990.
