Amazing school! A desire to extend my knowledge in counseling psychology and therapeutic methods motivated me to pursue international learning programs and diverse academics at Evergreen State College. Perhaps one of the most profound learning experiences at Evergreen was the engagement of a 9-month Mindbody Medicine course, which deepened my understanding of health care approaches to deliver whole person care, treating multifaceted foundational aspects of psychological and physical ailments with divergent perspectives. My pathway at Evergreen has been an incredible opportunity to integrate my passion into my purpose, in dedicating myself to understanding the multidimensional avenues of human psychology and applicable resources for healing to promote well-being.
The Evergreen State College is a great option for those who have struggled with the typical structure of learning in the past. Not only does this school incorporate experiential, hands-on learning techniques in the classroom, but it minimizes the classroom sizes so that the professor can foster a personal relationship with each student. The school has an undergrad and graduate program, meaning it can be suitable for almost any student. The college has a great community, with countless opportunities to attend events and parties to socialize. The grading system is unique, with a "no grades" approach to scoring students. Students at the school are given written evaluations that entail their efforts in class, formulated by their professors. Overall, The Evergreen State college is a uniquely accommodating higher education program with a beautiful community and experienced professors to help you each step of the way to your degree.
A great college for the independent students. Plenty to do on campus from athletics to clubs to taking part in activism. The campus is stunning and filled with natural beauty, the college is definitely on the come up and a lot of improvement is taking place, it won’t happen overnight but it’s there. Campus is housing is great and again also being improved slowly. If you are a student who doesn’t really know their direction and wants to figure out what you’re good at and have the freedom to explore many different avenues of education, this college is for you. Faculty love the students and there are virtually unlimited opportunities for students so long as you’re willing to put in the effort.
