American Horror Story: Delicate is preparing for the release of its second batch of episodes, and Part 2 is already an improvement over Part 1. Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology TV series American Horror Story continues its expansion, and it’s currently in between two batches of episodes from its 12th season, Delicate. Based on Danielle Valentine’s book of the same name, American Horror Story: Delicate is the first season of the series to be based on a book rather than being an original story, and it reunites the audience with some of the series’ most popular cast members, most notably Emma Roberts.

American Horror Story: Delicate tells the story of Anna Victoria Alcott (Roberts), a young actress looking to get pregnant. Anna quickly begins to suspect that there's a conspiracy around her trying to take her baby, and even those closest to her, like her husband Dex (Matt Czuchry) and her publicist and best friend Siobhan (Kim Kardashian), could be involved. American Horror Story: Delicate Part 1 ended on a major cliffhanger, and now the first trailer for Part 2 is teasing some huge reveals, while also showing how much it’s improving on the first batch of episodes.

Given the lukewarm reception and reactions to Part 1, there were some worries about what the final episodes would bring.

American Horror Story started strong with Murder House, Asylum, and Coven, but recent seasons haven’t had the same luck. Season 10, titled American Horror Story: Double Feature, got mixed reactions and was mostly criticized for being split into two different stories, and while American Horror Story: NYC was better received, it still didn’t match the excitement and success of some of the previous seasons. American Horror Story: Delicate Part 1 got mixed reviews, though critics were quick to praise Kim Kardashian’s performance as Siobhan.

Splitting Delicate into two parts was a very criticized move as, unlike Double Feature, Part 2 is the continuation of Part 1, and given the lukewarm reception and reactions to Part 1, there were some worries about what the final episodes would bring. The trailer for American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 has now eased all those concerns, as it promises a couple of twists and huge reveals, addressing the loose ends and mysteries left by Part 1 and, hopefully, giving proper conclusions to the stories of its main characters.

Delicate Part 2's Trailer Promises More Action In The Second Half Of The Season

Part 1 of American Horror Story: Delicate was a slow-burn.

Delicate has stood out for being more of a slow-burn type of story.

Although American Horror Story isn’t a TV series that stands out for being an action-packed show, Delicate has certainly brought a different pace. While some of the previous seasons have taken their time to properly establish certain conflicts and develop their main characters, Delicate has stood out for being more of a slow-burn type of story. The first part of American Horror Story: Delicate focused on Anna’s struggles and her anxieties about her pregnancy, as well as the strange things happening to her and around her when she started her pregnancy journey.

American Horror Story: Delicate Part 1, then, leaned more towards a slow-burn, psychological horror tone that was necessary in order for the audience to fully understand Anna’s desires and fears, and to help them start building their own ideas about what’s going on with her pregnancy, the women in black, and whether there truly is a conspiracy around her or not. American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 seems to be taking a different direction, and now that all this has been established, it can turn up the pace and have more action.

There could be some body horror moments in the final episodes of American Horror Story: Delicate.

American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 can now delve into other types of horror within Anna’s story beyond the psychological side of it, and as seen in the trailer, there could be some body horror moments in the final episodes. A bigger presence from the women in black and the reveal of who they are and what they want with Anna also promises a lot more action and horror, which is a huge improvement on the first episodes.

American Horror Story: Delicate Could Turn Things Around In Its Last 4 Episodes

American Horror Story: Delicate could have a couple of surprises prepared.

The trailer for American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 teases massive reveals and answers to Part 1’s biggest questions.

American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 is only four episodes long, but that’s more than enough for it to turn things around and, possibly, change the critics’ and general audiences’ opinions of the season as a whole. As mentioned above, the trailer for American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 teases massive reveals and answers to Part 1’s biggest questions, and what stands out the most is Siobhan’s involvement with the women in black. This confirms that she has been involved in manipulating Anna and playing with her mind this whole time, but it’s to be seen why she has been doing all this.

American Horror Story: Delicate Part 1 was a slow-burn and, to some, a “dull” season, but all the action, twists and turns, and answers coming in Part 2 can completely turn this around. While that might not be enough to place Delicate among the best seasons of American Horror Story, it would certainly save it from being considered one of the worst.
