It allows us to remember our mistakes and ensure we don't make them in the future. It was nice to see when we walked past. Its at the start of Ferhadija street.Visited February 2023Written 5 June 2023

Like all eternal flames, this is an open flame that is always burning. The flame can be found at the former National Bank building at the junction of Mula Mustafa Bašeskije, Titova and Ferhadija Streets.Visited May 2023Written 8 June 2023
- SnowyShastaPortland, Oregon2,184 contributionsWorth stopping for a lookThere is nothing to really tour here; it's the open air memorial and eternal flame which was dedicated after WWII. It's pretty accessible on a walking tour, right near the intersection where the Austrian-architecture Ferhadija Street becomes the more modern-architecture Marsala Tita street. It's worth taking a few minutes to look at the memorial if you are walking in the area.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 July 2023

It is a reminder of Bosnia's unfortunate past and hopes of a better and brighter future. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A good part of any city walking tour, go and see the monument, its good to see it and you can go on the way if you plan a walk down to see the children's war monument or snipers alley.

A focal point for the remembrance of the fallen during World War 2, the eternal flame continues to burn to this day. This is not a common sight to see monuments and war memorials from the era of communism so well maintained.

Honestly very easy to just walk by and miss. It's not grand, but carries a much larger message. Adds a lot of character to the city.
