Dwight Morrow High School/Academies at Englewood Reviews
Rating 3.48 out of 5 350 reviews
I have had a great experience in Dwight Morrow Academies at Englewood. I am well respected by all of my teachers. They help me when needed with no hesitation. I like how that our school offers a lot of clubs for students to join. Some things that I do not like is that our administration is not the best but I hope that they improve. I would like there to be more activities for students who are part of the Academies like field trips.
Dwight Morrow High School/Academies at Englewood are set on a beautiful campus with historic architecture. The district provides updates annually to the facilities. Safety is on key at this school with excellent safety preparedness plans, ensuring all student have IDs and are worn. Security is always present on the campus. While the school scores low on state tests, the teachers are following working curriculum and state standards and are provided professional development through out the year. The administration is present and always willing to hear your concerns and provide solutions. Various fall, winter and spring athletics are available to the students but there seems to be some favoritism among some sports obtaining a more elaborate budget such as football versus soccer. There are numerous clubs and activities in this school that have a positive impact on the students. Overall as a parent, I am pleased with my child's experience at this school.
As a senior in Dwight Morrow High School, I have had my ups and downs. High school can be pretty stressful and sometimes challenging. Overall, most of the teachers are understanding, helpful, and relatable. I had two teachers that made my experience worse rather than better. Now that I am a senior in High School that is starting to go through all kinds of stress and confusion, I can say that there is a very helpful lady helping me through the process. This lady is guiding me through the whole college process and making me feel less alone, which is one of the best things a school can offer. Having support and guidance can come a long way, and I am grateful that this school provides such a program.
