I have really enjoyed my experience here at Juilliard. There is an amazing faculty from which I have learned and grown so much from because of their mentorship and teaching. At Juilliard there is access to so many wonderful opportunities such as, performances around the city and a wonderful education from Lincoln Center.
It was a very difficult experience but I learned a lot from several professors and many colleagues. I would like to see Juilliard be more committed to hiring teachers that are interested in being full time mentors. I found the solo piano teachers very detached from their students and many of us became very depressed.
Creatively and academically engaging; a blossoming community overflowing with disciplined, motivated teachers and staff. Juilliard is an amazing institution because it fosters opportunities for collaboration between artistic disciplines. As a composer, I've worked with classmates who are actors, dancers, and musicians. There is a reason why the school is revered as one of the greatest arts schools in the world! (o:
