Cozy winery with local feel and personal attention. The wine list is extensive and we debated whether to sit to for tasting of not. Unfortunately, our time was so limited that we couldn’t squeeze it in.
The host was very welcoming and kindly gave us a little introduction to Eric Ross wines.
The only drawback was that outside tables face a busy street and a local shopping mall.

My first wine tasting ever as here...in 2012. I was introduced to excellent Zin by Dennis. he was so extremely helpful in teaching me why the Zin was good and why each were different. On top of that, he was just a nice guy who made a deep impression on me. 7 years later, I walked in, just to see him, introduce him to my wife and explain why I remembered him. I walked in and he asked me "Do I know you?" Not sure why people and places make deep impressions, but this was all about quality. Please stop by here, try some of the excellent wine and enjoy some good conversation.

Their informal symbol is the rooster. The experience is what you could have gotten in the Napa Valley fifty years ago if you had known Joe Heitz or Fred Cakebread. Don't go without sampling the pinots and zins

We stopped by on a Saturday a few weeks ago and did the tasting with Diane, Dennis and Melvin. We had a great time talking about many different topics including the wines. It was a fun tasting and I highly recommend stopping there when you are in the area.

Denis and Diane run the tasting room and are just plain FUN. then add the wonderful Spanish varietals they produce and you have the makings of a great experience.

My husband's name is Eric Ross so as we randomly drove by, we had to stop! They were not open when we stopped by so we took a few pictures and tried to look on the door for the opening time. There were no hours posted on the building so we checked online. The only hours that we could find were on google so we went to Jack London state park and came back during the open hours listed online. The tasting room was still not open so we went to another winery close by and tried one more time to see if they were open and finally they were! We really wanted to get some bottles mostly for the labels but the wine inside was good too.

We visited Eric Ross Winery at the suggestion of two larger wineries. We are so happy we did! Eric is super friendly, very interesting and his wines are very good. Eric retired from the San Francisco Chronicle Photographer. His tasting room in Glen Ellen is beautiful. Not only can you taste and buy his delicious wines, you can view his beautiful photographs. We bought a bottle from Eric Ross and would have bought more had we not already spent too much on our trip. Don't miss out on Eric Ross Winery!

We stopped by Eric Ross at the recommendation of a friend, so our expectations were high. They were exceeded on every level. The tasting room managers Dennis and Diane were extremely welcoming and informative. We enjoyed all the wines, especially the Pinots. On its own, it would have been a highly recommendable experience, but as we were leaving, our car wouldn't start; and Dennis and Diane could not have been more helpful or accommodating as we worked on a solution. We truly felt as welcomed as if we were a guest in their home.

Fantastic reds and really nice staff... if you’re looking for a laid-back tasting with knowledgeable staff, this is it. I would definitely do this again. It was an awesome experience.

Nice variety of wines in a comfortable tasting room with a nice variety of wines. All of the wines are excellent, and any time that we have visited, the tasting room hasn't been super crowded so the staff has the opportunity to tell you what they know about the wines. Silver Image and the port are my favorites.

I do believe there was a tasting charge but it was waived if you purchased wine. I think the tasting fee was around $15.00. We had such a good time visiting with Dennis and Diane it didn't matter. A CA tasting room with a little personality - it was a fun afternoon.
