Emmerdale - Why is the picture so dark?

Anyone else agree that Emmerdale is so dark in picture? the picture scenes quality is so dark and it's not light. I got to turn my brightness up to see it. This is not like with Corrie, Corrie is perfect and light.

    It does seem particularly gloomy in places. I don't know if its Ethan's place or where Charles and Manpreet live, but that place seems like its lit by candles or something.

    I think they do it to cover up the shocking seam matching on the wallpaper!

    Many of the scenes between Cain and Caleb are in heavy fog for some reason 🤔
