There’s murder, suicide, adultery and supernatural occurrences. Unlike Vladimir Hellsubus, you won’t want to tie two pillows to your head to block out the noise. This film will have you laughing at its ridiculousness.

Delightfully goofy and cheesy in a comic romp way that's harmless overall and rarely seen anymore. Great for a wide-age-range audience or just some Halloween atmosphere any time of year, especially those nights when you can't quite sleep.

Another hugely enjoyable outing from the Mistress of Darkness. Bawdy sight gags, slapstick humour and double entendre abound in what is a funny and very likeable, light horror comedy. The chesty one is as entertainingly watchable and hugely endearing as always. The supporting cast are well up for the goofy, low budget, gothic proceedings as well, especially the excellent Richard O'brien. A shame that more Elvira movies weren't made as the character had a lot of legs, no pun intended.

I love that Peterson is paying homage to the old Poe classics and that she's giving all her heart. The jokes just don't really land this time around. It's not like Elvira humor needs to be sophisticated, the lower-brow the better. But most of this just comes off as corny.

A quaint tribute to Vincent Price by Elvira! Director Sam Irvin pays homage to horror masters Roger Corman and Vincent Price with his hilarious horror comedy Elvira's Haunted Hills (2001). I certainly prefer the fast pacing and playful tone of Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988), which remains one of the greatest comedies of the 1980's for me. Elvira's Haunted Hills has that Roger Corman low budget feel with a clear love and respect for Corman's Edgar Allan Poe horror films of the 1960's like The Fall of the House of Usher, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Tomb of Ligeia to name a few. Elvira's Haunted Hills is certainly going to be appreciated by Vincent Price and Elvira fans. I think it holds up as a quick indie comedy. I'm glad it got made and remastered by Scream Factory. Cassandra Peterson is breathtakingly beautiful as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. She is still effortlessly funny, charmingly charismatic, and a cool horror character for the ages in her own right. Her screen presence is undeniable. Elvira could act, sing, and write! Elvira and John Paragon wrote Elvira's Haunted Hills with a respectful attitude towards Vincent Price's masterworks and Edgar Allan Poe's writing. The jokes are witty and fresh, mostly landing with a laugh. Not everything works, but it's all charming. She is just a blast to watch and a real Halloween treat. The spooky vibes are here and I can easily see any Elvira fan revisiting this around Fall for Halloween. Richard O'Brien (Rocky Horror Picture Show) is astounding with his Vincent Price impression that sounds like a jeering Ralph Fiennes as Lord Vladimere Hellsubus. He understands that Elvira's Haunted Hills is certainly camp horror! Mary Scheer is funny as the screaming Lady Ema Hellsubus. Scott Atkinson's British accent impression of Vincent Price sounds hilariously like Rupert Everett as Dr. Bradley Bradley. Heather Hopper is adorable as the pale, ever fainting Lady Roxanna Hellsubus. Mary Jo Smith is a riot as Elvira's portly French maid Zou Zou. Gabi Andronache is so funny with his visual appearance like Fabio and his funny dubbed voice as Adrian. Jerry Jackson is good as the gentleman who picks up Elvira at the end with his fun twist reveal. Editor Stephen R. Meyers cuts Elvira's Haunted Hills down to a delightful 90 minutes. It could have been more sharply edited to pick up the pace. Some jokes are delivered and left there hanging for a few beats too long. Viorel Sergovici's cinematography has got some nice wide shots, but all his close-ups are the real deal. Gorgeous shots of day and night with a cool atmosphere. Composer Eric Allaman's score is fun with a quirky whimsy for Elvira's Haunted Hills. Radu Corciova's production design is cheap looking like a knock off of Roger Corman's old sets, but it's effective. The mansion is very nice. Ioana Corciova's art direction sees foggy nights, mysterious coaches, and a haunting castle for neat visuals throughout Elvira's Haunted Hills. Raluca Ioanovici's set decoration provides suits of armor, creepy paintings, and all sorts of castle fare. Radu Corciova's costumes are nice for the main and supporting cast, but Elvira's sexy Goth dresses are the highlight. In short, Elvira's Haunted Hills yield many laughs and a playful time for any horror, Vincent Price, Roger Corman, Edgar Allan Poe, or Elvira fan.

Horrible cringe Elvira movie and this has no real connection whatsoever to the original movie. This is think this came out 15 years after the original and it basically took the first movie and said we forgot about it. This isn't even a sequel, it's trying to be different than the original. If it was trying to be an anthology it's a boring one and I just don't care. I'm glad Hollywood only made 2 of these films.
