Ellis Dale

Ellis Dale was a British character actor.[1]

Dale was born in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, on 5 May 1930.

He worked extensively in both television and cinema, with well over a hundred credits over a period spanning almost three decades.

His film appearances included Get Carter alongside Michael Caine, Say Hello to Yesterday with Leonard Whiting, Sunday Bloody Sunday with Glenda Jackson and Eye of the Needle which starred Donald Sutherland.

He could often be seen in British television series, appearing in episodes of The Bill, Brookside, Crown Court and many others. One of his earliest appearances was in an episode of Crossroads in 1964.[2]

Dale died on 14 October 1991.[3]
