Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Jess Park and Mary Fowler have been nominated for April’s Barclays Women’s Super League Goal of the Month.

City continued our pursuit of a second-ever league title across the past few weeks with victories over West Ham United and Bristol City – scoring nine goals and recording two clean sheets across 180 minutes.

Bunny’s first strike in our emphatic victory over the Hammers at the Joie Stadium has been shortlisted from the prize where she chested down Lauren Hemp’s cross and rifled into the top corner.

Following Ouahabi’s opener, the Jamaican’s brace and Laura Blindkilde Brown’s first for the Club, Park extended our lead further against the Londoners when driving towards goal and drilling into the bottom corner thus earning a place among the nominees.

We followed up our strong win over Rehanne Skinner’s side with a 4-0 triumph at Bristol City where a Fowler brace before an own goal and Alex Greenwood’s first of the season helped us to three precious points.

Both of the Australia international’s strikes are in contention for Goal of the Month after she broke the deadlock with a rocket into the top corner and she doubled our lead with a expertly taken finish from a Hemp cross.

City’s trio face competition from Chelsea’s Aggie Beever-Jones, Everton’s Issy Hobson, Arsenal’s Alessia Russo and Manchester United’s Ella Toone.
