Visit to Tarrington/Stoke Edith Station by 1995 Steam Engine
On Wednesday 27th July we had the honour of a visit from an Aveling & Porter 1995 Traction Engine, piloted by Jamie Keyte and friends. The engine trundled through Tarrington village via School Road where a number of villagers came out to wave it through. Its destination for the evening was Stoke Edith Station where Chris, Matthew and family kindly hosted the engine and a large crowd of interested onlookers. A number of “kids” both small and large were happy to take a turn behind the steering wheel. During their visit to Herefordshire the crew raised over £1,00 for Herefordshire Mind.
We look forward to seeing them again.
