Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Fitzhugh, age 81 of Malvern passed away Sunday May 6, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 16, 1936 in Malvern to John Noah and Mary Ora Pierce Hendrix. She was a homemaker and member of Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she loved each member dearly. Betty loved her family reading, flowers and yardwork.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 46 years, Austin "Plug" Fitzhugh, two infant sisters, brothers Earl and Elmo Hendrix, grandson Lance Walker.
Survivors are her daughters, Barbara Hughes (husband John) of Poyen, Vicki Norwood (husband Troy) of Malvern, Brothers, Buster Hendrix (wife Betty), Dale Hendrix all of Malvern, grandson Todd Norwood (wife Sarah), great-granddaughters, Isabella, Taylor, and Harley Lynette Norwood, one nephew and five nieces.
Visitation will be Monday May 7, from 6PM until 8PM at Regency.
Graveside services will be Tuesday May 8, at 10AM at Lutheran Cemetery with Brother Mark Thornton officiating.
Pallbearers are John Hughes, Troy Norwood, Todd Norwood, Jimmy Sutton, Matthew Sutton and Alan Hendrix.
Honorary pallbearers are Frank and Darrell Murphy.
