We are a community based around the happening of John Frusciante. John Frusciante, is the guitarist for the red hot chili peppers as well as many other side projects. He was also voted number eighteen in rolling stones magazine top 100 guitarists. John Frusciante is also currently one of the most talented people of the last twenty-five or thirty years.
Besides John, what are y’all’s top five, give or take, favorite bands or artists?
I just had this thought and I’m wondering what other John listeners listen to. I have never met anyone else who loves him as much as I, except online of course, so I’ve never discussed other music with one who views John with an alike mind. What are y’all’s top favorites?
My taste has broadened in the past few years, but as of right now, here are mine:
-
Fleetwood Mac/Lindsey Buckingham
-
Obviously RHCP
-
Led Zeppelin
-
Stephen Sanchez
-
The Wldlfe (I’m surprised I like them as much as I do but they’ve become a top five for me)
-
Spacey Jane
Mine are probably more varied and unpopular but I often wonder what the crossover is between JF fans and Godspeed You! Black Emperor fans — I love them both so much
Frusciante would be my one and Godspeed is definitely in my top 5.
I’m curious, got a recommendation?
Not Godspeed, but I’ve always thought the same about these guys and JF fans https://youtu.be/1aMQ8db4Y4c?si=FK-8aW6cxGhXVD6v
Ok so that’s going on a playlist of mine
It’s a stunning album, put 46 minutes aside, close your eyes and let it engulf your ears :)
I think the most Frusciante-like song is Moya but all of their work is deeply emotional.

Bro yes. No one gets it and I live my lonely Lana life. But shes so fucking good.
I went through a big phase where I listened to that May Jailer Sirens album a ton back in like 2012. Not as much into Lana though.
I don’t think you’re alone, they share a similar type of vulnerability and sensitivity in their personalities and songwriting that appeals to certain people.
But why?
She’s awesome
