Jackie Chan's Ex-Mistress Elaine Ng Denies New Report Claiming She Accepted S$7.2mil In Child Support From The Action Star

More than two decades after former Hongkong actress and beauty queen Elaine Ng went public about her affair with Jackie Chan and how she had a daughter, Etta Ng with the action superstar, the drama surrounding the scandal is still ongoing.

Last week, a well-known veteran Hongkong reporter, known as Uncle Zhu, said that contrary to claims that Elaine had single-handedly raised her now 21-year-old daughter, she had accepted a hefty sum after breaking up with Jackie.

In his article, he talked about the many grudges between Jackie and his former mistress, including how Hongkong tycoon and founder of the Emperor Group conglomerate, Albert Yeung, had given Elaine HK$40mil (S$7.2mil) on behalf of Jackie to settle her and Etta down, and how Elaine had blindsided Jackie by exposing his numerous affairs to the media. Jackie was apparently so angry at Elaine that when he was asked about the accusations by reporters, he shouted: It's because of Elaine Ng, the scum of the showbiz industry, that's why so many problems have been created.

Yesterday, Elaine took to Weibo to address the rumours, writing: “There are all sorts of people in this world. What 20 million, 30 million, 40 million — you just say whatever makes you happy. It is also a blessing to make others happy.”

Elaine then emphasised again that she never accepted any money from Jackie and warned that one should be careful of what they say.

Elaine relocated to Shanghai after giving birth to Etta in 1999 and while life has not been easy as a single mum, the 46-year-old admitted in previous interviews that she never regretted or blamed Jackie for the affair as it was consensual. When Elaine struggled to make ends meet, she claimed that she tried asking Jackie for money but he wouldn’t “give [them] a single cent”.

Things between mother and daughter are equally tumultuous. In 2015, Elaine was arrested for allegedly abusing Etta, and last year, she publicly expressed her dislike for Etta's wfie, Canadian influencer Andi Autumn.
