This mall showcases the very top drawer names in luxury and refinement. Exclusivity springs to mind. I found even the air too rich for my constitution let alone my wallet! Lots of armed security outside and inside. There is a Starbucks on the 2nd floor and fine dining on the 3rd. Deserves to be a shopping destination consideration but be prepared for sticker shock.

It was eye opening to walk through this department store. Floors and floors of high end luxury goods. Jewelry and bags, clothes and shoes and a wonderful food court at the top. Great to spend some time when raining and people watching.

This department store restaurant is a great buy. If you have a couple of hours to eat at a relaxing restaurant, you won't be sorry eating at this fine restaurant. The one a block from the Zocalo is especially appealing. The view out the 150 feet of windows is the best. Happy Dining.!!!

After a major renovation you now have the opportunity to choose your food and drink from a variety of suppliers and be served either at their counter or table seating. We like to sit at a tapas bar and just keep ordering one dish after another,,,,some we can just point to as they are already prepared on slate slabs. Or you can order and be served at a table on the huge outdoor terrace.
It's kind of fun to have something from here and something else from there. Lots of choices to meet a variety of preferences.

I am a big time shopper and I've never seen a high end mall like this one. Thing of every lux brand and it's all under one roof. We looked for a mid-market store and didn't see one (some mid market brands in the department store in there though). Best thing about it: you can get your 8.9% tax refund processed there vs dealing with the typical BS in Europe when you try to leave. Just bring a picture of your passport, exit customs form, and your airline itinerary to go home and they'll process it right there. You can email it to them too (they'll give you wifi access on the spot) or as soon as you get back to your hotel.

Palacio de Hierro had always been my place to go shopping. Unfortunately I decided to get their credit card as I wanted to buy something special. Their accounting department is really bad, they lose money in their own accounts and their call centers as as bad. They can' give a follow up and even after nearly 70 days, they can't track down my april payment and are charging vey high interest rates. WHAT A PITTY, I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE TO SHOP AT!

El Palacio de Hierro in Mexico city's Polanco has to be one of the best department stores in the world, with a marvellous design, the best boutiques, a food court to die for, the latest technology gadgets and extraordinary service everywhere you go.

The best curated shopping experience in the metropolis. Its comparable to Harrods, London. Its accessible high-end with a eye catching array of lux goods. Its iconic shape stands out along with orange exterior, the first building in Mexico City built of iron and steel. Loved the rooftop food court where we stopped our frantic pace at a charcuterie with 7 giant hams waiting to service us with slices of heavenly jamon all served with the crispiest baguette and melon. Add to this a glass of fine wine and we were happy tourists. Everyone we spoke with did so in English and with gusto and great spirit. This is the benchmark of great shopping experiences. There is also a open terrace area great for a double espresso by the pool.

Great shopping experience. High end Mall. If you're not into shopping go for the experience. There are no walls or partitions between the stores. Beautiful displays. Feels like strolling through a museum. During our visit 100 years of Mexican Couture Collection was on display.
On the top floor there's an amazing food court. Sushi bars, Tapas Bars, French Bakery, Fresh Chocolate Truffles, Various wines and Champagnes available at the bars, restaurants or even in the vending machines.
