Eileen Ryan (née Kelly)

The death has occurred of Eileen Ryan (nee Kelly), Hillview, Dublin Road,Johnstown, Co. Kilkenny and formerly Georgespark, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the care of management and staff at St. Luke's Hospital Kilkenny. Predeceased by her beloved husband Martin and sisters Bridget, Margaret and Christina. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, Stephen, Christine, Aidan, Martina (Butler), Teresa (Clarke) and Maria (Duffy), daughters-in-law Audrey and Ita, sons-in-law P.J., Declan and Barry, her adored 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons, brother Hugh, sister Maureen, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence (Eircode E41 HP68) on Friday evening, March 22nd, from 4pm until 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning to St. Kieran's Church, Johnstown arriving for Requiem mass at 11am followed by interment in St. Kieran's Cemetery, Johnstown. John (Johnny) Holohan

The death has occurred of John (Johnny) Holohan, 17 Hoban Park, Bolton, Callan, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Grove, Cuffesgrange, Co. Kilkenny. Peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on Wednesday, 20th March 2024. Pre-deceased by his parents Pakie and Eileen (Ila), his sisters Pixie (Doheny) and Mary, who died in infancy and his nephew Christian. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing family, his heartbroken wife Amy (Sue), his adored children Alfie and Taylor, his brothers PJ and David, his sisters Anne, Tina, Bernadette, Jacqueline and Regina, mother-in-law Helen, father-in-law Michael, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, work colleagues and many friends.

Reposing at his home, 17 Hoban Park, Bolton, (Eircode R95 X05A), on Friday, 22nd March, from 4pm to 8pm, pausing for Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6pm. Funeral arriving to The Church of The Holy Cross, Cuffesgrange (Eircode R95 ED61) for Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am. Burial will follow immediately afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan. House Private Please on Saturday morning.

STEPHANIE (STEPH) HEARNE

The death has occurred of Stephanie (Steph) Hearne, Comeragh View, Mooncoin, Co. Kilkenny, who died on Monday 18th March 2024, aged 36 years. Peacefully, predeceased by her father Tom, Stephanie will be sadly missed by her mother Mary (née Nolan), brothers John, Barry and Brandon, sister Laura, partner Emmy, sisters-in-law Mary and Marie, brother-in-law Nicky, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Stephanie's removal will take place on Friday, 22nd March, walking from her home to The Church of the Assumption, Mooncoin, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by private cremation. To view Stephanie's Requiem Mass please click on the link at 10.55am www.churchservices.tv/mooncoinparish

Anthony (Tony) Dooley

The death has occurred of Anthony (Tony) Dooley, Glenties Co. Donegal F94Y1RH, Rosbercon/Tullogher Co. Kilkenny, Raheny, Dublin. Retired member of An Garda Síochána Dublin. Peacefully at his home in the arms of his loving wife and surrounded by his loving family. Forever loved and missed by his darling wife Helena, daughters Deirdre, Maria and Charlie, sons Anston and Turlough and brother Shem, grandchildren Kiki, Abigail, Harry, Daniel, Tarlagh, Matthew, Joseph, Charlotte, Jacob, Rebecca, Edward, Alma, Evan, Hanora, Annie, Rachael, Emily and Lorcan, sons-in-law Joseph, Richie and David, daughters-in-law Edel and Monica, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, aunt-in-law Mary, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a large circle of friends. Sincere thanks to all the nursing staff that cared for him so attentively also Dr. Cooke and staff at the Glenties Health Care Centre and Fr. Gerard Cunningham.

Funeral mass on Friday at 12 noon in St. Connell's Church, Glenties with interment afterwards in the local cemetery. Family time on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only. John Edward Austin

The death has occurred of John Edward Austin (The Duck), 3 Cathedral Square, Kilkenny, and formerly of the UK. John passed away on 17th March 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends in Kilkenny.

Reposing at the Dunne family home, 26 Newpark Close, Kilkenny on Friday (22nd March) from 5pm to 7pm with Rosary and Prayers at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am in St. Mary's Cathedral. Donations, if desired, to the Friends of St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. Donation box in church.
