The best time to come here is during Spring where there is a nice display of tulips and cherry blossoms.

Ok for a nice short walk if you want to see flowers. Fairly popular for wedding pictures and slightly crowded on the weekends. Nothing special but it’s a good way to pass an hour.

This garden is super beautiful in spring because it is full of flowers and with a lot of space for picnics and family activities. They have a nice trail through the park as well.

Enchanting place for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. Every season offers new colors, flora and fauna. It may not be as extensive as Hamilton's botanical gardens but it is still a lovely respite in the city.

We keep coming back to this place whenever we are in the area due to the combination of great wildlife and floral arrangements:
- this place is free to enter, however we tend to avoid the weekend when seems to be busier and the car park gets full rather fast
- there is a shop, toilets etc with very nice friendly staff
- lots of flowers, as you would expect but we are keen ornithologists and had several birds come and eat from my palm, besides black and brown squirrels following us around, together with chipmunks and other type of birds. I did not see the ground hog we came across several years ago but we had ducks flying around us - that is why I like coming here when there are not many people around after all
- we spent around 90min relaxing on the bench, talking to animals and birds and taking pictures of this beautiful place
Well done to the hard working staff. Most surely we will be back.

Fantastic place to take kiddos at any time of the year. My kids are 4 and 5 and they love wandering off the trails, playing near the streams, and spotting wildlife. In Autumn, we hit up the "golden forests".

Spend a free afternoon exploring nature on well-groomed park grounds and observe all sorts of wildlife like groundhogs, and hawks in trees or just feed the Chipmunks! ;)

We toured the gardens. Many blooming plants and lots of huge old trees. Paths wind through the gardens and trees.

Many a times during the pandemic we escaped to this beautiful space! It is not that close to us but it was worth spending the time to get there. Everything is opened up and we tend to less frequent them. Just went back for a visit and it is jsut as charming with many flowers in bloom.
Some of the paths blocked during the pandemic are now open providing further trolling options. A place to sooth your soul !

Edward Gardens itself is rather small. While the park and trails are big, the botanical gardens can be walked through in a short time. Compared to other gardens, it is not a big attraction.

They are open early in the morning to early evening. A stroll through the garden may be possible at all hours but after dark the walking can be treacherous on some paths and should be avoided. The garden can not be appreciated after dark anyway. The restaurant is not open very late maybe till 8 pm and only May through September I think.

I read that there's a corpse flower blooming in the greenhouse - is it possible to view it? What are the hours of the greenhouse?

Free to enjoy the gardens, but there is a time-based self-pay parking fee that supports the Gardens. I don't recall that it is expensive.

Are group picnics of 30 people allowed? Are there picnic tables?

I haven't seen why this is an issue. It is a public park afterall.
Last time i was here I definitely saw benches, as there are a few spots to eat
