Question
I was just up against a Shadow Rider Calyrex deck, and I was running Decidueye with Deep Forest Camo. Thought I had an easy win, he didn't have any non-V or non-VMAX pokemon left to deal damage. But his Astral Barrage from the Shadow Rider Calyrex V hit all my Decidueyes.
There were no items attached to his pokemon or any stadiums in play.
What am I missing?

Astral Barrage's places damage counters on your Pokemon.
Decidueye only protects you from attacks.
EDIT To help you in the future, just keep in mind that, in general, anything that is not direct damage is considered an effect of an attack. Placing damage counters, discarding energy, applying special conditions, "can't attack," etc. are all effects of attacks.
Adding on to this, when I was learning the game the way I distinguished between them is that the number on the right hand side is damage, while and text below the attack is an effect. (Small exception is when a Pokémon does damage to the bench in which case the text below will say something like “does 120 damage to two of your opponents Pokémon”. In that case look out for the key word “damage”. If the text doesn’t have the word damage it is just an effect of an attack.)
Damage and damage counters are 2 different things; deep forest camo only prevents damage
You need Big Parasol on your Decidueye to block additional effects that are not direct damage.

But Parasol protects every Pokemon on the bench, as long as the one it is attached to is in the active...
