It's my second time to stay here. Never disappointed in EVERGREEN Group's Service. Comfortable room as I remembered and Breakfast was amazing as you can have beef soup that one of Tainan foods you have to try when you visited.

The hotel has nice fancy lobby. And the room was comfortable. The location is great which next to a shopping mall, and also next to the culture park which is a great walk morning or night time. Great stay in Tainan city. It’s also not far away from High speed rail, not far to Tainan train station and close to the Tainan airport.

Amazing 4* hotel well-worth it's value! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are clean and decadent. It's in a convenient location to multiple bus and train stations. Close to several shopping districts, and some of the temples [though for the larger, more famous temples, a tour bus or taxi guide will be required]. Close to the ex-pat district if you are missing Western food and bars! Also, after my journey and several months later, I received a birthday card from them in the mail! What a nice touch! Truly memorable!

Service is good for this hotel and they try their best but however the hotel is in need of a refresh. In my room, some fixtures were falling apart like the clothes line and the décor definitely looks dated. Gym and swimming pool are well maintained though. The lifts during my stay broke down and that was a minus. Pillows aren't the best in terms of support as compared to other hotels that I have stayed in Taiwan (this is the crucial part). Will be back again and I do hope that things improve in the future!

It's not a new hotel so it's not fancy. Practical. Luxury when it was built. My stay is ok. Nice swimming pool for families.
Surprisingly good dinner buffet w/ GIANT Tiger Prawns. Big surprise. Special discount for hotel guests. Highly recommended.

I would not reccomend this hotel to any foriegner. As an American I was treated horribly by the staff from top to bottom. I have never personally experienced racism to this degree. I was treated as a second class human being the entire week plus that we stayed there. This goes from the treatment I received at the restraunts to the fitness center to the business center.

I used to live in Tainan for 6 years. I always recommended friends and family to stay at Evergreen Plaza when they go to Tainan. It's one of the best hotels in town. A week ago, we made a trip to Tainan and stayed in Evergreen Plaza again. We stayed in a double room with a king size bed. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a great stay. The neighborhood is know as "cultural Center" (文化中心) neighborhood. The hotel is right next to it. Many major cultural events are held there. It's also across the street from a newly open department store where it has several restaurants and a super market. I'd highly recommend it.

Billed as the local five star. The place is well run but doesn't have a lot of westerners. There is however a lot of Japanese tourists.
Stayed there one night. Room was large, comfortable and quiet. Hotel is still fairly new and relatively inexpensive for the quality it offers.
Breakfast buffet selection was a mix of western and Taiwanese fare. Adequate for its purposes. Although they should work on the coffee machine a little bit. Ha!

This hotel can be comapred to 4 four stars according to european standard. It has a spa rennoveted in dec 2004 and very good buffet/restaurant. ADSL for free in each room, a nice bar for having drinks and food! It's a good alternative to the Ladis hotel

Free shuttle bus from high speed railway to a stop nearby, great location next to a department store, cultural centre and a beautiful park. The hotel staff has provided excellent service, they are all well-trained, helpful, pleasant and patient. I am impressed that they remembered all our needs and delivered considerate service accordingly. We had buffet for both breakfast and dinner, I won't say this is the best one you can find inTainan, but definitely worth a shot due to its varied and tasty options as well as comfortable environment. Will surely be back for my future stay in Tainan.

I would apologize that we drove to the hotel, not took train there. But for the rail station, you can stop at "Tainan" Railway Station", and take around 15-20 min. by taxi. The rate is really depends, or you may take Uber for clear price instruction.
You can only get shuttle for HSR from Tainan HSR station and get off from Tainan City Culture Center. The better way is call the hotel for their assistance: +886-6-289-9988.
There were free wifi available when we were there last, and yes u get a couple of English Channel, otherwise my husband was streaming WWE from Internet to iPad anyways :)
No. They only provide full service laundry. But there is coin laundry store available about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Ask front desk for details.
