We loved this place, having come from two us$70 hotels to a us$32 hotel our expectations were not very high but it was great, rooms big, lovely owner and hot water, clean towels and water every day. Television, fridge, air conditioning, comfy bed and a couch. Location is ok, about a 5min walk to the cultural centre which has a main high speed rail bus stop and bus 88 stop on weekends. The closest bus stop that runs weekdays is about a 25min walk away but that was fine for us. If coming from the high speed rail train walk outside the terminal and then take the free bus into town and get of at the 5th stop (cultural centre) from here you are about 400m from the hotel but it can be hard to find, make sure you orientate yourself from the cultural centre before you come! Good eating shopping mall and supermarket amenities within a 5min walk, limited English from owner but here lovely attitude more than makes up for it …

The size of the room is the best part. Most o the places in Taiwan are really small but this room was huge and even had a table and couch. It was very clean and they exchanged the towels everyday (I'm sure you could get your room cleaned but we weren't there long enough to need it). It wasn't noisy at all and everything in the room worked great. The bathroom was clean and spacious as well. The only bad thing was that we saw the lady when we first checked in and we didnt see here for the rest of the three days that we stayed. If you need anything though you just have to call. The location was a bit tricky to find (we don't speak Chinese) but we had the address written in Chinese and the people were very helpful and pointed us in the right direction. If your coming from the HSR station then take the free bus and get off at the city cultural center stop (stop number 5). Walk across the cultural center and past the Evergreen Plaza hotel. You'll see a street with a bunch of colorful signs (one says hotel but its not that one) and its the one with the yellow sign. On the pictures area I added a few if you need help. On the weekends bus 88 runs nearby (a stop at the cultural center and infront of the mall) by on weekdays it takes a different route and the nearest is by the sports park (a temple I can't remember the name of). I think that the location is good nearby so e good restaurants but its now right on the city center. It's called AE02 on some signs but it is also known as Adam and Emily. It's great value for money and I would definitely stay here again.…

I visited Tainan alone and chose to stay in this hotel for 2 nights. The host was very kind, nice and warm, her whole family are so sweet (they have a very cute baby daughter). They really gave me the feel of family and home which made me feel safe and cozy to stay here. The host was also very helpful and caring, introduced to me where to find good restaurants with local features and where to visit. The room was very big and clean, with a comfortable bed, air-con, sofa and a TV with different channels (watched a English football match at night). The bathroom was also very clean and new. At night it was quite so I can sleep well. This hotel is very close to the Cultural centre and the shopping mall (few minutes walk). You got almost everything in the shopping mall such as book shop, coffee shop, nice restaurants. Also convenient store is also in few minutes walk distance. On the other side, you can relax in the Barclay Park for the afternoon if the weather is good. Plus, it is close to the airport (10 - 15 mins by bus), and also 10 - 15 mins to the Tainan city centre for more attractions. Overall it is a clean, comfortable and very warm hotel. I would definitely choose it again if I come back.…
