We have been interested in trying this supper club since the new location has been complete. The building and location generated some raised expectations for a good supper club experience. We were sadly disappointed. Though they passed the test for food that was good -...and predictable - they failed greatly on creating a welcoming atmosphere. The host seemed more concerned about lowering expectations than accommodating guests. It felt as though they were trying to create an air of exclusivity and limiting the number of customers, making the large space seem unnaturally quiet and lifeless. The food was not good enough to overcome the unwelcoming vibe from the signs warning of needing reservations and the host parroting that they were busy and not very interested in accepting walk-ins. Its not likely we will be going back to seek a spot in that establishment.More

Restaurant is beautiful and staff is friendly. The food was not good. Broasted chicken was done but cold at the center. Not a cooled off cold, but rather a refrigerated cold. The sauce on my schnitzel was flavorless and the spaetzle was dried out and...a little crunchy. It felt like they had precooked and then warmed back up. The prices were very high, but if the food would have been good, I would not have minded. We were told prices will be even higher between Memorial Day and Labor day.More

Waited till we had visited twice before reviewing. Finally — a true place for fine dining in the Northwoods. Pine Gables does not disappoint. Both the food and the service was top notch. You will not go wrong with the German dishes. The Friday fish...fry was very tasty. And both the garlic shrimp as well as the roasted pork tenderloin were done just right. Best of all - amidst the difficulty getting and retaining solid hospitality personnel - on both evenings - our servers could not have been more attentive or gracious, without ever being intrusive. We will for sure be back.More

Went there with six ppl on a Wed evening. With the current Covid concerns, was very happy with their safety protocols & I personally appreciated the staff wearing masks . Had a excellent server, Toni, and she was pleasant and helpful and fun. Our table...had everything from excellent baked onion soup, scallops that were perfectly seared, weiner schnitzel , a great looking steak and the seafood of the day was red snapper. Each one of us loved our entrees. Training a new bartender when we had a cocktail before dinner so a little slow on the service but I realize lots of places are struggling to get help. So be patient! Old fashioned mass from scratch were great. We had lots of fun and I would recommend this place!More

This was a great place to eat. I would have rated it as excellent but the bar staff was slightly rude and were not welcoming at all. All other staff were very attentive. The French Onion soup was one of the best and highly recommended....The facility and restrooms were well maintained. The food was really good and cooked to perfection. The prices are slightly high but overall would recommend if you are looking for a nice supper club experience.More

So friends and I had reservations at 8pm which was the earliest we could get in. I thought dang this place must be good that that's the earliest we could get in. We arrived to a near empty restaurant with no off at the bar....Apparently they are so severely understaffed that they could only host a handful of tables. Not at all what we expected to see. The bartender was quick to make our drinks while we waited. My old fashioned was decent but no muddled fruit:( We ordered crab stuffed mushrooms which were sizable but not the most flavor like others I've eaten elsewhere. The French onion soup was good and I'm not usually a fan. The Caesar salad dressing had a lot of lemon in it--wasn't a huge fan. We came for the prime rib so most of us ordered that. The portion was good and didn't have as much fat as other places I've seen so was happy for that. Was SO glad I didn't order the end piece though because sadly most of the crust was so salty I had to spit it out. And seemed like salt was the only seasoning on it. Baked potato had no seasoning on skin so didn't finish that. No room for dessert. Lori, our waitress, was very nice and got orders correct. Could tell she was busy though as sometimes was hard to flag down for drink orders. Overall, was a pretty average meal. Feel sad for the restaurant. I wonder how they stay open like that. Hope they tweak their prime rib seasonings.More

This last Saturday evening my wife and I had dinner at the Pine Gables newly restored facility, and it is truly a northwoods must stop location. The building is exquisite and offers a large dining seating arrangement, including several fireplaces and an airy sun porch...type. The bar is well located as are the restrooms. All clean and sparkly. Parking is no problem as they have an additional well lit parking lot location next to the restaurant with many spots. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. They offer a full menu to serve almost any appetite.More

Cheese curds, soup, ribeye, scallops risotto, topped off with snickers cheesecake. What a great experience, start to finish, thank you. Unfortunately, we were unable to get gift certificates to share. We will be back!

The restaurant was set up for safety. Limited tables and bar stools. Reservations required and all staff wore masks. This was the most relaxed I have been going out since this all started. The staff was very friendly, the place was clean and the food...was amazing. Filets mignonette and prime rib. No to go boxes needed.More

Traditional Friday Haddock Fish Fry with all the sides, Catch of the Day, Great Steaks, Perfectly crisped half duck with orange sauce. German schnitzels for those who enjoy them. The chef knows the way around the kitchen! Service is efficient and friendly. Some of the...pairings are a bit heavy with cream sauces and risotto. We ordered some with substitutes Scallops with mushroom risotto and Fish with pepper cream sauce just not pleasing to our palates. Overall, well above average.More

The restaurant interior and exterior is immaculate, the menu includes several interesting German dishes. We tried the rouladen and the jaeger schnitzel, both were exquisite. The wine list is somewhat limited but offers several fine choices, and bottle service was spot-on. The staff was friendly,...efficient, and non-intrusive, providing an excellent experience. This place is top of our list for fine dining when we visit the Eagle River area.More

This is absolutely one of my favorite restraunts. I have celebrated here several times with family and everyone enjoyed there dining experience. Server is always knowledgeable and attentive. Food is always great no matter what you choose. I will be celebrating my birthday soon and...as always for any celebration this is my always 1st choice!More
