This movie isn't nearly as bad as the critics say, and not nearly as good as it could have been. As a fan of the video game franchise, I recognize I am looking at this film through rose colored glasses by giving it a 4.5 stars. However, Dynasty Warriors does a fantastic job showing off the god-like powers of the heroes, cutting down thousands of enemies with ease. The plot suffered from trying to cram too much story into a movie, had they switched to television, they could have slowed down the pace, fleshed out the characters, and elevated the fight scenes. Overall, it was a fun movie.

Fantastic adaptation of the games, most roles were cast and costumed so we'll I was able to name their characters long before we were told, and my family loved it without any previous knowledge. It's a tad short, but sets up future productions perfectly, and has even got my sister asking if she can play through the games with me. If you enjoy classic over the top martial arts movies, this is simply a must see!

This movie is an action-packed adaptation of the video game. At best it's an entertaining review of the first 20 chapters of the classic (out of 100 chapters). It did an accurate job introducing the characters and some of the main plots. Anyone who never read the original book might find it difficult to digest all the plots and stories in this movie all at once. Treat this movie as a video game adaptation, and nothing more. As for hardcore fans of the original classic, this movie is a garbage and not worth watching.
