Best: Many teachers care about students and how they are doing, the help after school
Dislike: The Academy @ Englewood side is not flushed out and not really there

I have had a great experience in Dwight Morrow Academies at Englewood. I am well respected by all of my teachers. They help me when needed with no hesitation. I like how that our school offers a lot of clubs for students to join. Some things that I do not like is that our administration is not the best but I hope that they improve. I would like there to be more activities for students who are part of the Academies like field trips.
It is different that what I expected. I come from out of town since I am in the Academies@ Englewood and I don’t like how our programs is too mixed with Dwight Morrow. We take a test to get in an we are part of a normal high school with bad students. The school needs to improve on that.
Dwight Morrow High School/Academies at Englewood are set on a beautiful campus with historic architecture. The district provides updates annually to the facilities. Safety is on key at this school with excellent safety preparedness plans, ensuring all student have IDs and are worn. Security is always present on the campus. While the school scores low on state tests, the teachers are following working curriculum and state standards and are provided professional development through out the year. The administration is present and always willing to hear your concerns and provide solutions. Various fall, winter and spring athletics are available to the students but there seems to be some favoritism among some sports obtaining a more elaborate budget such as football versus soccer. There are numerous clubs and activities in this school that have a positive impact on the students. Overall as a parent, I am pleased with my child's experience at this school.
I love the community, I wouldn't have it any other way! The academics and teachers could be better but its always a work in progress.
DM is a very diverse school that offers many great classes and a wide variety of extracurricular activities. The teachers are professional and are always willing to help the students succeed. Although it is overall a great school, there are times where it could be unprofessional, but for the most part it is an all around well run school.
It has been a pleasant experience throughout my three years in the school so far. The most of the teachers are nice, and once you are settled in, the school feels like one big family. A community that helps one another. The school has five majors: Pre-Engineering, Finance, Bio-med, Law and Public Safety, and Information Systems. Although this all sounds great, the only three majors worth going into are Engineering, Law and Public Safety, and Bio-med. All the other majors are lacking, whether it be in teachers or the content being taught. The programs still need development.
This school is so diverse and I made great friendships along the way so far. There are so many clubs to join and activities to take part in. Although people complain, all schools have ups and downs. Being part of the academies is truly a great experience and it opens many doors for students.
Very unorganized school! However, there are some great teachers that if you make connections with, you’ll be met with great. The zone program is a great resource!
The people are really friendly, but the food is not really the best. You will be able to get a good education if you actually try. The teachers are really nice also and if you ever need help they are willing to help you. You also have your counselor if you are confused on your schedule or what you are supposed to do for college.
Dwight Morrow is an amazing school with lots of resources. What I liked most about my school is the Zone. The zone helps you out with anything you can think of. They taught me things that I didn’t even know I needed. One thing I would change about my school is putting more benches and tables outside for students to sit at.
Dwight Morrow High School provides opportunities for students to study courses that are relevant to their intended future careers. Resources are available, although more help could be readily provided.
With my time at this school I was astonished with how beautiful the campus was. It definitely gives you the collage feel, and the grounds are always taken care of and cleaned. This school also has widespread diversity, taking students in from different districts. Having such great diversity, this school not only embraces it, but encourages students to be proud of their background. Diversity Day is a big event within the school, that almost all students partake in. Getting volunteer opportunities that are offered at this school is one of the best ways to get ahead on the collage game. From endless help from counselors, and partaking in the many clubs the school offers, volunteer opportunities are never scarce.
I like the diversity and the campus along with the principal. If I had to change something, it would definitely be the cohesiveness between the administration, students, and parents.
The teachers care about the students if the parent gets involved. I really wish the school District could be better.
I like the inclusion and diversity at the school. They give a sense of community and have many fun events such as Diversity Day. I do wish it would be more organized as counselors and the main office are of no help sometimes.
This school does not have the same amount of resources, class variety and is not as organized compared to other towns.
